> Nina Martin was excellent to work with, and was almost eerily good at understanding our tastes. Not only did she find beautiful tile for our kitchen and bathrooms, but she did it with an eye toward our budget, and found great options that didn’t break the bank. When we had to order extra tile or grout, she went above and beyond to get it to us as quickly as possible. (She also helped us rearrange our bathroom layouts so that the spaces are more functional.) All in all, a really good experience.

> This project started out very good at best and we are working with Lin in the Bernardsville New Jersey area. They offered extensive examples of tile for our backsplash in Basking Ridge New Jersey. The tile was ordered and the product was promised in four weeks. We use the contractor they recommended. The four week time quickly came and went with no follow-up contact from the vendor as to why the delay. Multiple phone messages to Lin went on answered. Finally six weeks later after numerous follow-ups Lin advised that the tile was in. It could be delivered one week later. When questioned as to the delay regarding the delivery we were advised it would take two or three days to have the product checked in. I requested to pick up the product two days later. A return phone call indicated that the tile had not in fact arrived and would not arrive until the following Tuesday. It appears that either this vendor is incompetent or that lies are so common place in covering for Lin. MIt seems very strange that the tile suddenly was not in their warehouse and would not be in until the day that Lin had indicated it would be available for pick up. Seems very suspicious. Their delays have delayed our project. Would stay away from the Bernardsville New Jersey location

> Nina thank you for all of your expertise and patience working with us. You had a great eye for matching colors, textures and matching to our style. Manny and Denise

> This is our second time using Mediterranean Tile and both experiences have been wonderful. Nina Martin is so great to work with. Not only does she have an amazing eye but she really understand you style and works with it. The show room gives you great ideas and Nina was so super in guiding us to which would fit with our pre-selected granite and which could also go together! Nina is the best!

**★★★★★ — Frank Di Grande, June 2017**

> We've been working with Nina Martin of Mediterranean Tile for the past couple of months on a kitchen and bath renovation. She has been great to work with!! She was able to put together various colors and textures that look fantastic!! We're so appreciative of all the time and effort she spent with us on the reno. MT offers a wide selection of products and styles. The showroom is set up to give you plenty of ideas

> Mediterranean Tile is a special kind of business. The showroom (we go to the one in Fairfield NJ) is beautiful, and the staff is top notch. They have a wonderful selection of tiles, stone, etc. We have worked with Maria Cappello, one of the owners. She helped us plan our kitchen renovation about 5 years ago, and a master bathroom renovation this year. She has a great sense of design, and is so good at putting everything together. It is like working with a high end interior designer - without the fees! The prices may be slightly higher than a big box chain type of place, but the experience and service can't be compared. I'd recommend Mediterranean Tile highly.

**★★★★★ — nine2nine design, June 2015**

> In addition to a well-organized, beautifully laid out showroom, Mediterranean's staff (especially Jacqui Natoli) has been so helpful with several of our recent projects. They provide excellent customer service both in the Showroom and over the phone and e-mail.

**★★★★ — Karen Abberley Clark, Aug. 2014**

> I was weary about going here because they have some negative reviews based on the attitude of their staff. I went in 2 different times and worked with 2 different people to pick out tile. Both times the person I worked with was VERY knowledgeable and pulled an amazing collection of tile for my room. They have a good eye there and are really helpful if you have a look in mind but are not good with putting things together. In probably 10 minutes they had put together a tile selection for my room that looked like it came out of a magazine. I don't want to discount other peoples experiences but I feel like some of the reviews are out of the norm for this place. That being said, there are some things to consider when using this place.
>
> 1\. Almost everything has to be ordered and can take 2 - 3 weeks (or more if on backorder) to come in. I was not aware of this and had to switch out some of my tile as I would not get it in time. One of the tiles I selected was discontinued and we did not find out until the order was placed so I had to go back in to pick something else. I would say this is the biggest issue with this place. There is another tile company in Wayne that has 2 warehouses nearby and you order the tile then go get it. Very convenient. Also, they cannot give you a delivery window until 24hrs after you order but you can no longer cancel the order 24hrs after the order so that is a bit of a pain. Thankfully they let me cancel my one tile after the 24hr period because it was going to arrive WAY later than we expected.
>
> 2\. Not everything is on display (most things, but not everything). The girls know what they have and for example if your looking for a shower floor mosaic they will go into drawers/cabinets to find something to show you but you cannot just look through the options for yourself. I am one of those people who want to see all the options before making a decision. If you don't like what they grab, they find something else but some people may have issues with not being able to see everything laid out in front of them. You really have to trust the staff although they do a REALLY good job at picking the right stuff.
>
> 3\. They are a bit pricy compared to the other tile providers. They don't like to give out information on their tile so people can't shop around and with reason because I did shop around and found them to be a little bit more expensive than other places. Also, because everything is shipped to them you have to pay a freight fee but the tile is not delivered to you.
>
> In all I would recommend this place if you are not the best with interior design, have up to 4 weeks before you need the tile and don't mind paying a little bit more for the experience.

**★ — shorty32, Jan. 2014**

> The tiles were very nice that they sold us, however we had a budget to meet and the way they met the budget was by undercutting us on tile. We had to repeatedly go back and get more tile for many rooms. They also sold us the wrong tile and we had to pay a 25% restocking fee. Adding insult to injury, even though we had a substantial credit, they continued to charge our credit card instead of using the credit. It took several weeks after they promised us our credit on the card for it to actually appear. They would say, "We are crediting your card immediately" and I would follow up with them 1 or 2 weeks later and question what was going on. Finally, their accounting systems are quite antiquated, which necessitated 20 separate charges on my credit card! Yes, 20! Still waiting to hear back from owner on why we had overruns on every single room, even with them coming to the house and measuring.

**★★★★★ — Art Palombo, AIA, NCARB, Dec. 2012**

> I've worked with Mediterranean Tile for over 15 years. They are my 'go to' place for my projects! I've always found them to be professional, thorough and detailed.
