I had six outmoded parsons chairs in desperate need of updating, as well as nothing in the way of window treatments but those awful plastic blinds. I have never had so much fun on a collaborative, creative project! Linda brought to bear her enormous artistic design skill and knowledge, as well as a patient, careful ear as to what I described. We played off of one another extremely well; I always felt completely heard and understood. My bold color choices and desire to "go big" were carefully led and mediated by Linda. She designed and built custom cornices paired with hand-finished drapes, which attractively pool on the floor. And those sad parsons chairs? I love them once again. They are covered in a beautiful fabric with a slight sheen, and finished with subtle details that scream "custom design." The result--a room everyone describes as gorgeous. Your dining room is beautiful and your vision is a testimony to your good taste. High style colonial is a little misunderstood in New England and our vision held fast on Virginian high style. Your chairs are exquisite reupholstered in the linen fabric and corded to highlight all their fine features. The cornices, custom designed and fabricated to each window in the room, all sized differently but all the same. The lovely drapes, red floral fabric that was not for the feint of heart but now could stand alone in the room. A lovely fabric to work with, falling perfectly and stunning in the room.
