> Very poor professional service from Thomas the team leader who installed my walking bathtub and a new shower. His staff started several weeks after I was told they received the equipment. The staff left the countertop incomplete, leaving me unable to use the tub, I was told they had another work to go to. After multiple calls and about 2 weeks later he came to finish the countertop himself. He did a sloppy Job the glue was all over the place, he kept saying he will come back to clean it, he never did. Despite multiple request I never received the manual of the walking bathtub.
> Considering the price, I had to pay more than $60000 I couldn't understand why the service was so sloppy.
> I tried to call his supervisor without success, very bad experience, extremely poor customer service.

**★ — Clayton Hicks, July 2023**

> Horrible customer service. Promises the world during the initial consult then after they have the deposit they start saying that wasn't included. For example. We had a $50,000 bathroom remodel done and it took about a year and a half to finally get a working bathroom and the craftsmanship is horrible. They told us that painting the bathroom wasn't included, After they told us how much paint and which type to buy.
>
> They are one of the worst companies I have ever seen on communication. We would wait a month with no word and would find out that something wasn't available and we would need to pick another option only we would reach out for an update.
>
> I would not recommend this company to anyone and the fact that Home Depot let's them in their stores is concerning. If I was Home Depot I would distance myself as much as possible from this company.
>
> I have a 3 page detailed timeline but it is too long to post on google.

**★ — Toby Moore, March 2023**

> I had my initial quote done, and it didn't go as planned, but they came back with numbers I could live with. We setup the contract, had the financing approved and were ready to go... then I didn't hear from them again for almost 2 weeks. At which point they needed to measure my bathroom again but when I gave my availability, they came back with a limited weekday availability that I couldn't make. I then tried to cancel and was told I was past the "3 day" cancelation period and they could cancel but would be keeping the 3k+ they took as a deposit. Don't do business with them. Their is no reason for them to do this other than to be crooks. They were not out anything as they hadn't even gotten to the point of measuring the bathroom to order supplies. They're all helpful till you sign the dotted line, then it's their way or see ya chump!

> We are very happy with our new shower. It took four days to complete the project. The folks that I dealt with were very friendly.

**★★★★★ — Melissa Cady, Feb. 2021**

> The new installation of our backyard sunroom was of great quality. All city permits were handled fully and any adaptations required by the city or HOA were tended to throughout the project. Very glad to have this sunroom built and enjoyed during this pandemic.

> Statewide did our bath remodel which included removing both shower and jacuzzi tub and installing large walk-in shower. They did a great job, on time. All workers were professional and friendly.

**★★★★★ — Sharon G, Oct. 2020**

> Very happy with our purchase. Installers were very friendly and professional. We are enjoying our windows. I would recommend statewide to anyone looking for new windows.

**★ — Henry Canizales, April 2019**

> WORST MISTAKE EVER.
> I made the mistake of agreeing to let this company do a small project for me and I completely regret it. They are simply not worth it. If you are considering them for work, do yourself a favor and shop around and get multiple quotes.
> One of the salesmen was nice, but the other was tacky. The work, itself, was fine, but the supervisor was a complete jerk. Dealing with the office (Finance department, especially) was a disaster. If they need something from you, they will call and text you non-stop at 7:30 in the morning and all weekend. But, the moment you need something and call, all you will get is a voicemail (with no returned call) or someone say "Sorry, you have to speak to that person" and transfer you to their voicemail. They are a nightmare to deal with. I wrote them a 4 page letter of my complaints and concerns. A manager called me and said "Sorry, we will do better next time". They are simply not worth it.

**★★★★★ — Lori R, April 2019**

> Statewide Remodeling just completed a full renovation of our master bathroom, and they did a fantastic job. It was expensive, but it was a big job - they replaced everything but the bathtub (flooring, glass-enclosed shower, custom cabinetry, tub surround, toilet, lighting, paint, etc.) and it looks beautiful. The only real issue we had was with the final bill following a few change orders (keep your receipts!), but I worked with the office/accounting staff, and we were able to get it resolved quickly enough. Everyone from the sales, office staff, project manager, contractors, etc. were very responsive and professional. I would highly recommend Statewide Remodeling!

**Comment from Statewide Remodeling:**

> Lori,
> Thank you for the glowing review, It is always good to hear that our customers had a good experience with a large remodeling project. Glad to hear we got the billing issue straightened out, and I appreciate the opportunity to work on your home. Your choice of colors looks great, thank for attaching the pictures.

**★★★★★ — Rona Ebert, Feb. 2019**

> I have had the most awesome experience with Statewide. Having had a TERRIBLE experience two years prior, I was scared to death of doing any remodeling again. BUT my bathroom HAD to be redone as the bathtub valve was broken and the only way to fix was cut a huge hole in the awful plastic moulded tub, rendering it unusable, and there were other issues with this old bath too. I heard Statewide's radio ads and it sounded like one-stop shopping with a very reputable staff.
>
> So, I look the leap and called Statewide and from that very friendly phone conversation, to the minute Sherry (Designer) walked into my kitchen with samples and ideas, I felt comfortable and in good hands. 3.5 hours of consulting and measuring later, I knew where this project was headed and had an exact price for the work discussed. I had a detailed schedule, a list of the persons to do each and every bit of work (all either work FOR Statewide or are electricians and plumbers they use regularly) and a list of items I needed to provide. Through the process, all my calls were answered and questions dealt with professionally and very kindly. Sherry offered suggestions when I asked, and talked me off several design decision ledges!
>
> I would use them again in a heartbeat (two other bathrooms need some future help!) but would also use them for smaller projects as they arise. After all they are "Texas' most recommended remodeler!"
>
> My bathroom looks fantastic and IS fantastic!

**Comment from Statewide Remodeling:**

> Ms. Ebert,
> Thank you for taking the time to posting your review and your very kind comments about your experience. I am happy to see you had such a good experience with your bath remodel, and I will pass your comments on to Sherry. As the President of Statewide, and living here in Austin, I have had a lot of interaction with Sherry, and she has been a wonderful representative for our company. I am glad to hear the experience went so well, and we delivered the vision you had for your bathroom.

**★★★★★ — Sue Abold, May 2018**

> In the past 5 years I have had both of my bathrooms in my condo redone. The first one was quite a challenge since it was a half-bath that had had a shower added by a previous homeowner, totally unpermitted. Statewide had to dig down to the sewer line and install a trap and a vent (the shower had neither!) and then change the shower from a plastic insert to tile. They also did my kitchen floor at the same time. The second job was this past March, 2018, in my upstairs bath. No issues except having to install a header to allow a pocket door instead of a standard door. They are always on time. The quality is excellent, and they are good with making suggestions for better ways as well as using mirrors, fixtures, etc. that I had bought. On this last job, I had bought the wrong size grab-bar and the project manager happened to have an extra from another job in his truck and gave it to me.

**★★★★★ — Melanie Duke, May 2018**

> We recently used Statewide Remodeling for updating our master bathroom. Justin Hickman initially met with us for the estimate. He was very pleasant to deal with during the entire process and never made us feel like he was a salesman just trying to make a sale. He met with us several times at our house and their showroom to choose the wall, floor, and accent tile. He was so patient with me as I changed my mind a couple of times during the project. Once the remodeling started, Chris Caputo, Field Supervisor, then took over. He as well was very pleasant to deal with. He kept us informed of the progress through the project. I can’t remember the tile person’s name, but he was amazing. We are so pleased with how everything turned out, especially the shower. I would highly recommend State Remodeling to anyone in the Austin, TX area looking to do any remodeling project.

## Community Q&A

**Q: what type of stone and name of countertop?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The counter top is a quartzite product by the name of Mistery White. It was purchased from a yard in Austin.

**Q: Shower walls** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the shower wall made from?

A: This is an acrylic product we install in place of tile. It is less expensive, comes in numerous colors and styles, can be stamped in various stamped patterns, and takes less time to install than tile, and has a lifetime warranty.
