- 1,000 Ideabook Saves

Regina Pools & Spas started as a family business and continues today treating each and every one of our employees and customers as extended family. At Regina Pools & Spas we offer superior customer service to fit all your maintenance needs. Our trained technicians are available year round to serve you. Regina Pools & Spas strongly stands behind our products and services. We are one of the pool repair companies in Baltimore and have many services to meet our customers needs.

In 1974, Fran Stefanski started installing residential in-ground swimming pools, and Regina Pools & Spas was born. By 1979 we were installing our first hot tubs and spas, pioneering hot water enjoyment in the Baltimore area. In 1982 we became one of the first Hot Spring Spas dealers on the East Coast, adding to our line of high quality relaxation products. We continued growing our business over the years, and in 2008 we added another product to aid in the rest and relaxation of our customers— Finnleo Saunas by Sauna360. We offer plug-n-play and custom saunas. In 2013 we realized the amazing hydro therapy benefits of swim spas this year-round appliance to our offerings.

**★ — Nick Helms, June 2025**

> I have purchased 2 hot tubs from Regina since 1997. In May of 2024 I called their service dept because my hot tub was going into protection mode? Between May and October of 24 they came to my house several times and replaced parts costing me close to a $$1000.00 without fixing it. In October with winter coming they winterized the tub without fixing it. Come May of 25 and I called them to come and summarize the tub and hopefully finally fix it. They told me it would be 6 weeks before they could come? I wrote letters to the owner of Regina and the Hotsprings company, neither seemed to make anything happen?
> The people in the service dept show absolutely lack of knowledge as far as customer relations and knowledge of hot tub operation aand repair. They are ridiculous to deal with. I called capital hot tubs in Rockville Md, who are a Hotspring dealer to see if they could help me, they said that did not work on Hot tube that they didn’t sell. They gave me the name of an independent hot tub repair company. I called them and they came out and repaired the tub in one visit? Regina used to be pretty good but not any more. The prices on their chemicals are inflated as well, you can get better prices on Amazon.

> Purchasing from a reputable dealer and specifically, Regina was the hands-down best decision we could have made when looking to purchase our first hot tub. Mary was amazing and walked us through everything! She was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, easy-going, friendly, and helpful. What more could I ask for?
>
> There is way more to hot tub purchasing and owning than I originally realized so having this extra care was key. Also, this is very much the type of situation where they are there for us throughout for years to come after the purchase (questions, suggestions, help with special cleaning, repairs... whatever it might be). We are not alone and have a team to help us any time we need.
>
> About the day of delivery: Wow. First, they helped us secure a good electrician who they know well. They stayed in contact with him to make sure he'd be there on delivery day and so on. Then, Regina had an entire crew show up (4-5 people), plus the 3 people that came with the electrician. PLUS, Mary herself came by to supervise the entire operation! Did I say "wow" already?! They made sure everything was perfect (including cover installation, positioning, and so on). Mary took a water sample from our house and later that day emailed me with exactly what to put in for the first chemical application. Oh, and they gave me over an hour of "hot tub school" in their store before the delivery day so I could learn everything. Then, they gave me this awesome cheat sheet for how to care for the hot tub over time with all sorts of instructions I can reference any time. Love it!
>
> All in all, I cannot say enough to express how happy my wife and I are and deeply grateful for the attention and care that everyone (especially Mary ;) ) at Regina has given us. We did look at other shops and they did not compare. My recommendation is to not second-guess this. They are the best and it shows!

**Comment from Regina Pools & Spas:**

> Todd,
> Thank you for your review. It was our pleasure to work with you and Brandi. We hope you enjoy your hot tub for years to come. Thank you for choosing Regina Pools & Spas for your health and wellness.

> When we opened our pool this spring, it was a mess! We were having difficulty getting it clean and were getting quite frustrated. One service call from Regina and it was spotless! The service crew was hardworking and highly competent. They promised to have it fixed before they left, and they didn’t disappoint. Thanks for a job well done!

> Excellent service by Mary and company....on time as always...been a customer for 18 years....this is our second unit

**Comment from Regina Pools & Spas:**

> Stephen, Thank you for your review and for being a client of ours for 18 years. We hope that you continue to enjoy your Hot Spring hot tub.

**★ — David RIffey, June 2017**

> I spent a small fortune with Regina Pools and have nothing good to say about this company. They did a very expensive in ground liner replacement and the liner leaked badly. I purchased the very best liner they had and even paid for an extended warranty that they will not honor. At the same time I purchased the top of the line Hot Springs Spa. The top has faded and looks like it is 30 years old. Please, don't waste your hard earned money giving it to this dishonest company!

**Comment from Regina Pools & Spas:**

> Thank you for your comments, they allow us to clarify what is happening with your pool liner and hot tub. After you called I met you at your home to examine the pool liner together. It was obvious there was a leak but it was not apparent where the leak was coming from. It was discussed to bring a third party to find the leak on this liner that was installed three years ago. This would answer the question if the leak was caused by a warranted item from the manufacture or if there was a puncture, tear, or plumbing leak that is not cover under manufacturer’s warranty. Depending on what was found either Regina or the customer would pay for the leak detector services. This was somehow not clear Mr. Riffey, because he turned down the leak detector when they called to make an appointment. Regina Pools & Spas thought that things were proceeding and neither Mr. Riffey nor the leak detector called to let us know no appointment was made.
>
> Mr. Riffey then wrote this review. After calling daily and sending emails, contact was made again several days later with him. Mr. Riffey agreed to the original understanding of who would pay for the diver to identify the cause of the problem. One diver was recommended but was unable to arrange an appointment with Mr. Riffey. A second diver was suggested and did make connect with Mr. Riffey. He set up an appointment with the second diver but later cancelled. Now we are again trying to make contact with Mr. Riffey to help remedy the situation and find out what his pool needs.
>
> All spa covers require specific care. We recommend to all our clients in their orientation prior to delivery, to clean and condition the cover every four months. Being outside 24 hours a day, exposed to the sun, temperatures and weather, the cover requires maintenance to keep it looking good. Very similar to cars, patio furniture, or anything outdoors periodic cleaning and conditioning is needed to keep up a good-looking appearance.

> The folks at Regina not only delivered the product, they have followed up with service and education and good old fashioned caring for their customer.

**★★★★★ — fww709716, Dec. 2012**

> Regina Pools and Spas installed a built in pool for me in spring of 2012. From the first encounter which was the estimate to the day they finished everything the owner Fran told me was perfect. When they completed the job my yard looked liked it had never been disturbed. Their staff was always on time, cleaned up and most respectful of my family and property. I would highly recommend Regina to anyone looking for a pool or spa.

## Community Q&A

**Q: rough estimate price love this /& price w/o hottub/ this is liner?** *(in Photo Questions)*

We are looking to have an inground put in, love this one was wondering the price, and are all your pools liner?thank you, anticipating your reply!

A: Hello! Thank you for your question. We install vinyl liner pools as well as concrete pools. This pool is a vinyl lined pool with an attached hot tub.
With everything complete, this project was between $50,000 - $60,000. We can do an on-site visit to customize your vision if you prefer. We also offer a large showroom with samples of our work located at 2066 York Road in Timonium.
Please feel free to call (410-252-5116) or email (info@reginapoolsandspas.com) for more information or to schedule an appointment.

**Q: Pool decking** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Our pool is 26 years old and the decking is made of concrete and is cracking. I have seen photos of grass instead of concrete, stone, etc. would like to know the pros and cons of different decking with costs and maintenance for each in the Annapolis, MD area.

A: We usually don't recommend grass pool side because the clippings from mowing and debris from dirty feet cause more debris in the pool. We'd love to give you some options and information on pool decks, please call Fran Stefanski at (410) 252 5116.

**Q: Can you tell me the dimensions of the pool, please?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The dimensions of this pool is 16 x 30 Rectangle. Check out our website for more pool shapes and sizes: http://reginapools.com/pools.php

**Q: Can you tell the dimensions of this pool? Very pretty!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The dimensions of this pool is 23 x 37 Mountain Lake. Check out our website to see more shapes and sizes: http://reginapools.com/pools.php

**Q: Which vinyl liner is this (tile and bottom)...** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: This is a Legacy liner, and the pattern is Oxford Tile / Glimmerglass floor. Check out our Vinyl Liner gallery at http://reginapools.com/vinyllinerpatterns for more options! Thanks for the question.

**Q: Can you tell me the dimensions of the basketball court? Thanks!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: It is a Bluestone patio stone or it can also be called Flagstone patio stone.
