> When prospective clients ask what skills make for a great interior designer, the experts would say that a designer should be artistic, creative, detailed oriented, have interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and have the ability to visualize a project.  Gwen ranks superior in all of these skills.  She has worked on several of our home projects over the past 15 plus years.  Specific to our tastes, Gwen’s knowledge of Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, and Victorian architecture, styles and furnishings, gave us the look we wanted.  I have so much confidence in Gwen’s ability to pick colors, textures, fabrics, and wall finishes that fit our vision of what makes our home warm and comfortable.  At the end of our projects, she can arrange and accessorize rooms providing that finishing touch.

> Access Styles managed the complete design of our master bath which included design, color consultation and procurement of all fixtures.  Gwen has a very good eye for color and fitting all aspects of the design together.  We had some space limitations that she was able to design around and make everything fit.  Gwen worked with us to find and evaluate contractors and made herself available to meet them when we weren’t available.  If you want a designer that’s great to work with and gets the job done Gwen with Access Styles is the person for you.

> Access Style is a great company.  Gwen has a really good eye for all that is needed in an interior decorator.  She knows color, how to do proportions, what works and what does not work and she can coordinate a group of subcontractors to work in a timely fashion.  She has done all that for me.  The last job, she promised it would be done in a week before a big event in my life and it was done on time and done well.  My budget is not always the biggest, yet Gwen manages to work within it.  And who else goes into a fabric store or any store and brings home pillows and materials and then either makes what you need or makes the store item better.  She has made curtains, shower curtains and pillow covers for me.  She took the store's shower curtain and made it better.  Who does that?  Usually a decorator orders these things.  But Gwen goes the extra mile when she sees the perfect item for my home. The end result is gorgeous.

The shower and tub had been elevated so we brought them down to floor level. The closet space was two spaces - we removed the wall between and expanded the doorway into one space and added closet units within the sight line.

**Q: is the white bench too bright** *(in Design Dilemma)*

need help making it fit

A: The bench is fine, nice proportion for the seating plus it adds comfort. But all you have are solid fields of color, the sectional, the floor, the walls, the bench.  The right pattern in a rug would tie all the elements together.
