**Q: Bedroom color scheme** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I have a small ( 10 x 10 ) bedroom that I moved into. It is time for me to have my first "adult" male room instead of my college dorm rooms I've had in the past. The room has 3 white walls and one tan wall. Any ideas on what colors I should use for sheets, pillows, etc...? Everything I try feels bland haha

A: dark teal with some nice artwork in the room.  You can frame just about anything and it will look cool as long you use decent frames.  old maps, black & white photography...

**Q: Moroccan rugs: Colorful or Neutral?** *(in Polls)*

A: I love the orange & turquoise combo

**Q: Need help with picking out flooring for my house** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We have gutted the house and taken down walls.  So it is very open - kitchen, family room and living room.  15' ceilings

A: can you provide more information?  sounds like you've got a blank canvas here so anything wood work.  Let us know more info to narrow down the best options for you (e.g. do you care about the temperature of the floor--would cold tile be ok, or would you want to consider radiant floor heating, are you leaning towards hardwood or carpet, do you have dogs/kids which determines how much wear the flooring needs to handle).  sounds like an exciting project with lots of possibility.

**Q: Need help decorating "The Wall" in my open concept family room.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

This is an open concept family room/kitchen.  I am flexible except for the placement of my husband's chair along "The Wall" because it faces his TV.

A: I see, well maybe just the actual mantel itself, to make it more of a focal point and to break up all of the wood paneling a little bit.  I would also lose the giant wood candlesticks.

**Q: Should I paint the walls smoky blue to help the sofa recede?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We worked with a well-known local interior designer, who recommended our modern black leather sectional sofa. The sofa fits our needs size-wise and comfort-wise, but it has never been what I wanted. However, it was an expensive purchase that I cannot replace right now. I feel like I've been putting lipstick on a pig by decorating around it. It's a great sofa, just not my true style. 

Our living room is open to our kitchen, which has all-white cabinets. I have been trying to start incorporating a black/white color scheme to tie the living room sofa in with the white cabinets. Shades of blue are my tertiary colors. I feel like I really need a blue rug or blue walls. The walls are currently BM Ashley Gray. The wall color looks different in every photo, but it's a neutral greige. I'm not loving it right now, and I feel like if I paint the walls a smoky blue (loving SW Indigo Batik - you can see a posterboard with the paint sample in one of the photos), the sofa might recede a bit, rather than sticking out. The room doesn't get much natural light, and my husband thinks we should paint the walls lighter, if anything. My decorating knowledge tells me that if a room doesn't get a lot of natural light anyway, it is never going to be light and bright, so I might as well go for moody instead.

Thoughts?

**Q: What type of curtains would go with this rug?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I love navy blues! So i went ahead and bought a navy blue rug that i would like to pair with my dark chocolate sofa. My walls are a soft beige and i cant paint them :(  but anyways, I want to have some type of pattern in the curtains as well but i am not sure what to do !

Also looking for a third color to put it all together! thank you

A: I agree w/ Karemore55--blue with orange accents would look great.
