Wade the owner was very thorough in his communication process. Very professional from beginning to end. There were no curve balls during the project. I would recommend this company for oak cabinet painting. Dave was his painter for the job. He had a great eye for detail. He painted several coats for an even finish. My cabinets are perfection. Even when you open my cabinets and look at the insides the paint is even around the inside border to give it a factory finish. Dave is a winner so ask for him! My dad is a realtor and I have been to homes that have had cabinet refinishing and the coats of paint aren't smooth and paint around the edges is patchy. I have seen paint slashed on appliances. Thankfully I did not have any problems with Aaa rehab like that. Dave did an excellent job taping up my kitchen to avoid spills. I read several blogs on cabinet painting for oak cabinets and I would not try to do it yourself unless you like that do it yourself look. But if you want a clean professional look with hopes to resale I would recommend this company! They aren't cheap but competitive. Oh I wish I would have known how strong the paint fumes would have been up front. I have a baby and had to make accommodations to sleep somewhere else for 2 nights of the week long process. Plan accordingly. I had my cabinets painted in may and still very pleased. People can't believe it's the same kitchen. Fyi...I did hire my own carpenter independently from AAA who placed oak "cove" molding on top of my cabinets to give it the extra modern finish. The project took 2.5 weeks. While we hoped it'd be a bit quicker, it was fairly painless and we are enjoying the result. Plus, we did tell them we weren't in a rush at the beginning. > Wade is very responsive whenever you call or text and quick to find solutions if something isn't quite what you expect. We're very happy with how our room turned out with one small complaint about which I've already told Wade, and he's going to try to come out to fix it. > The people on his team we worked with were: > Rick (carpentry) - Rick showed up when he said he would each day. He and I worked together to decide how everything should look, and he was open to feedback when we wanted to change things (like making our wainscoting higher on the wall than he had planned). > Dustin (flooring) - Dustin arrived when he was supposed to and was easy to work with and kind to our children who wanted to watch the progress. The floor looks great as he paid close attention to varying where knots and extra texture were laid out. He was done in about half a day. > Dave (painting) - Dave also showed up when he promised each day. We appreciated how closely he paid attention to small details and even fixed some of the imperfections in our walls before painting. He was careful about taping and laying down paper and other materials to protect our floors, and he was great when asked to add yet another coat to the new door. When he left he made sure I was happy with everything and offered to come back if we found any imperfections in the days/weeks after. As in my first project, Wade allowed me to independently purchase all materials needed. I purchased everything ( hardwood and all material ) from ProSource as recommended by Wade. I dealt with Christie, who help me to select materials and ordered same. ProSource has a tremendous showroom with a vast selection. Wade picked up and delivered the material, free of charge, to allow material to acclimate. Wade had Dustin and Jay do the installation. They arrived promptly and immediately went to work. On the first day they removed all carpeting from the stairs and hallway. They than prep the entire area insuring all nails and other debris was cleared away. Day 2 they began installing hardwood floor in hallway on the second floor and stairs. Oops, ran out of hardwood. Smart me - thought I needed less than what Wade told me to order. Consequently, project was put on hold for a few days, awaiting additional order of hardwood. Christie ( ProSource ) expedited my order and had order ready for pick-up in two days. It is also worth mentioning that Wade is extremely particular regarding the use of proper adhesives and quality products. Dustin and his assistant returned on Monday the following week and completed the job. Dustin is a true craftsman is very methodical. The detail and precision of their work is beyond reproach. > On Wednesday, Wade sent Twyla and Dave, AAA's custom painters, to prep and paint the base and shoe. Twyla is also AAA's in-house cleaning person. My home was left spotless when they finished. > I give Wade much credit for selecting the individuals he assigns to perform AAA projects.
