We live close to the water and were so worried about the house when the storm hit but we didn't get any damage at all. They all did such a great job for us. Our house is rock solid and exactly what we dreamed it could be. I worked with John and his architect for about 6 months drawing up plans and then permits took forever but once we got started it was a really smooth process, probably about 8 months to finish the house before we moved in. I really recommend you use them if your looking for a home builder at the Jersey shore or anywhere really if they'll travel to you. You won't find better. My guess is chisel out existing mortar and replace? Mostly curious what material to replace with and any other tips. Thank you! A: Yes, you can do it yourself if your handy, it's not that hard. You can probably find a video on youtube showing you how to do it. Basically just chisel the old grout out and replace with new cement. Just have clean water a sponge with you at all times.
