When it failed after a month, i thought it might have been forced during a break-in attempt, but saw no damage to the outside of the lock, so I concluded that it must have been faulty. I emailed Abbey trading, the supplier of the lock, and they responded right away. Within 2 days, i was contacted by an Abbey Trading rep who came the following week and replaced the lock with a new one at no charge. In the process he discovered that the lock had indeed been forced, the pins were jammed, but went ahead with the replacement even though the lock was not at fault. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and helpful, I must say that I was stunned by their response and their willingness to stand behind their product.
