The 2 smaller bedrooms would need to be bigger, and I would like the bathroom to be bigger too. We will possibly put a 40sqm extension on the left of the building ( out from bedroom 2 and the kitchen I think? ) but I don't have a great mind for seeing the best way to achieve what we want. We would like 3 bedrooms ( 1 ensuite if possible ) Main bathroom bigger than current Utility Open plan kitchen diner. Any advice would be brilliant to get us started. Thanks Fiona A: Hello and congrats! Exciting times. I agree with others have said. Live in the house for awhile and see if you mind changes about the renovation. The BIGGEST consideration not look at from my trade is the future. More often than not, additional wiring such as a sub panel or service upgrade. Also setting up for additional heating : cooling. When these are not thought of up front, they become rather expensive later. Best wishes!! **Q: will a kitchen island actually work?** *(in Design Dilemma)* we just moved and i bought a beautiful kitchen island from world market for 50% off. i really LOVE the kitchen island, but am unsure about whether the space plan for the kitchen can accommodate it. Have a floor outlet installed in the center of the location you would like the island. Have plug mold ( Black or brushed finish) installed on the side of the island under the over hang if there is one. Have the electrician, transition the hard wired plug mold into a cord connection which will protrude underneath the island and plug in! **Q: Help with with the family room** *(in Design Dilemma)* We have a raised ranch and our family room needs a little help. We are not ready to renovate the room yet but I want to rearrange and add some light and pizzazz to the room. It's very blah. Any recommendations?
