Cubist Engineering is a design/build firm specializing in custom pre-fab small spaces, constructed with modern design, innovative materials and lasting craftsmanship.

Focusing on commercial and residential auxiliary structures like guest suites, studios, offices and cabins, we marry the sustainable, efficient practices of pre-fab with the imagination and problem-solving ethos of custom building.

Among the unique materials we use is cross-laminated timber, structural solid wood panels that provide a green, insulation-free, highly fire-resistant building while allowing for fast assembly and architectural flexibility. In addition, we build a 10-inch steel foundation into our buildings, with removable wheels and a 75-year rust-proof finish so you can keep them mobile or set them directly on any site, no special prep or complicated install. Residential, mobile or off-grid—it's your call.
