The design was absolutely compatible with the style of our house, used materials consistent with the era of construction, and added both striking beauty and functionality. And while we really loved the design, Peter's consistent involvement with the project was arguably the most impressive (and useful) part of this project. In 27 years living here, this was our third significant renovation, and we've never had a designer on-site as frequently as Peter was to monitor progress and keep an ongoing dialogue with the contractor. (Don't underestimate the value of this!) Painting walls gray with dark gray trim. I love bright colors and i am think i can use.red, yellow, blue, green. i love flowers and i want to use many colors in my kitchen and dining room. it is an open concept and all of these rooms are together... can i do that? A: Sounds to me like wallpaper would be a good option for one or more rooms. I have done projects with gray walls and darker gray bases. It can become a bit monotonous, but I think it would be successful if one room where gray with dark gray bases, followed by another (probably dining) with the same dark gray trim and very bright floral paper (both swatches above are offered through Anthropologie) that incorporates colors you intend to use in additional adjacent rooms. The further rooms might not be gray on gray but would continue the language of a lighter hue on the walls and darker on the trim. You might also consider painting the walls and trim the same hue of gray, which can really heighten the architecture of a room, as shown in the last photo, a project by Chicago Designer Summer Thornton. **Q: Please help choose a pendant light between these two** *(in Polls)* We need help in choosing the better pendant for the space, please!
