A year and a half later he only came back to finish to get the remaining amount owed. We were holding back money until he finished and that still barely got him to uphold his agreement. I could list the many, many problems with his work…For example: many walls were built in the wrong place so we had to modify my bathroom because the vanity didn’t fit, had to refigure the kitchen (but they didn’t tell us until we saw our cabinet was smaller), they built our kitchen cabinets too short so instead of fixing it properly they cut our floor out to make our appliances fit (without asking), they ripped our house down to studs without a permit in hand (which took 4mo to get because his architect couldn’t draw our plans correctly). His designer, Olivia (Sensitive Information Hidden), didn’t design anything nor help us with any design choices which left us floundering without help for the design details. What she did do, when she could find the time to respond to us, was wrong. His crew is the dirtiest group— we are still scraping paint and spackle off our windows and doors and picking up nails, razor blades and debris from our yard. They messed up and had to redo EVERY section they remodeled. I’m not exaggerating even a little bit. We are still finding all the things they did wrong. Ashis was never on site to manage his team or our job. Ashis does not communicate at all and we had to contact him multiple times to get even a yes or no. He threw a tantrum and left the job for a month because he had to put a skylight in according to plans after trying to gaslight us that we had changed our minds. He also uses his friends, who are NOT licensed, to do work. We caught him doing this, contacted permitting and he now has a flag on his license. He even asked us to cover for him and say we did the plumbing work so he wouldn’t get in trouble. After months of zero communication, zero work being done and no plans to finish our house we were about to seek legal action. Then our basement started flooding. He did not respond for two weeks. He does not care about his contracts, his professionalism nor does he take pride in his work. Many times we found out he was working on his own house while our house sat for weeks without work being done. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE this contractor.
