I could not have asked for a more professional, creative, devoted, architect to assist us with our project. He met with me over and over before we started our project to make sure that we were making the best use of our potential new space. He was a perfectionist and took the time to make what we were talking about into a 3D computer program so that I could actually see what our house would look like. I could not get my brain around the 2D drawings. He frequently visited our project during the construction to make sure that things were going as he had envisioned. He was an advocate for me to stick with the things that I had originally wanted out of the space even when we weren't sure the space would accommodate it. He made it work to where we got exactly what we wanted. He also analyzed where we spent most of our time and which spaces should be changed to better accommodate our family and how we wanted to live. He talked through with me certain ideas that I had to see if they would actually turn out to be useful space and worth the cost. He truly cared that our project turned out to be good quality and beautiful. Finally, we had an unexpected development at the end of our project that required some very quick creativity. As usual, he responded with the perfect solution and was calm and cool through the entire thing. Eric is a great architect and has become a wonderful friend. If I ever remodeled again or built another home anywhere, I would, hands down, use Eric. What type of glass did you use?** *(in Photo Questions)* We are installing double entry doors like this main door. We need at least a semi private glass, but nothing busy that would ruin the simplistic style of the door. Or plain glass and have a film installed. Can you provide info? Many thanks! A: I believe it is a flemish glass pattern. It is actually part of the glass. I like it because from distance it is fairly hard to see through, but up close you can still see enough to know who is at the door. **Q: Which furniture company made the dining room table and chairs?** *(in Photo Questions)* Oak dining room table & wood chairs. Also, living room end tables. A: Actually the dining room table and wood chairs are cherry and came from an amish furniture provider. The living room end tables and coffee table were sourced from local second-hand furniture vendors. **Q: What is the glass called in the door ?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: I believe it is called Hollander Clear Flemish. **Q: love the cabinets. Are they hickory? any stain on them? thanks.** *(in Photo Questions)* A: They are cherry with a clear finish. **Q: Lighting** *(in Photo Questions)* Any info on the chandelier would be appreciated A: It is manufactured by Justice. **Q: Where can I find sliders like these?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: I believe the doors were built semi-custom -- a modification of an typical door, it should not be too terribly hard to find a manufacturer to do this. It is also possible to get a cabinet/millwork person to build them. Since the are not exterior doors, there are not a lot of complications. There are a number of manufacturers of sliding "Barn Door" hardware as they seem to be pretty common right now. In this case we have had the millwork sub build a box around the hardware to give a a more clean look. We felt it was really important not to have a floor track in this installation.
