Both are original, carefully and solidly crafted, and look great both during the day and totally fabulous when turned on at night. I just received three copper dragonfly sconces from Lightcrafters via well-packaged fedex for the hallway in my Colorado home. Kent and i had brainstormed on some custom aspects and he and his artisans created three amazing lights with colored glass marbles incorporated into the design, exceeding my already high expectations. Their prices are so reasonable, it's a crime to pass by such finely made, unusual, lovely pieces made by artists at a small local business in favor of a mass-produced item that is often no less expensive at a box or big lighting store, and certainly not as special. The kitchen pendants were a modification from a design that Kent suggested, with a larger pendant in the middle. For the powder bathroom, Kent provided a matching sconce and mirror frame. Contemporary entry door on traditional house (pics included)** *(in Design Dilemma)* We need to replace our exterior door on our home built in 1983. Originally I was going to go with a craftsman style door, but saw this contemporary door (see pic below), and thought it would be something different and let in more light on our north entrance. I'm just uncertain if contemporary is the way to go and, more importantly, if it will look good. Picture of the front entry is included. Please excuse the hydrangeas which miraculously survived a hail storm and the ferns which turn brown at the end of the season. A: I love your door selection. How about adding this sconce to compliment it? Soft lighting, and plenty of it, as it features a duplex socket, thus up and down lighting. Scale and design are terribly important. **Q: Off centered ceiling fixture** *(in Design Dilemma)* My 1940 Cape's dining room ceiling light fixture is centered to the room but not centered to the table. The center of the room is the walk through from one room to the next. You walk under the light fixture. We currently have a ceiling fan but want to replace it with a more updated light fixture/chandelier and center it above the table. Any ideas about how to do this without having to re-wire and drill all new holes in the ceiling? We have plaster ceilings so that would be a messy job.
