I told Mary I like terra cotta pots and flowers so she came up with very beautiful and fun murals in places where they are great accents! I have never liked the look of my heater vents so Mary cleverly disguised them with her wonderful art. Need to decide paint color this week.** *(in Design Dilemma)* This is our dining area. I was going to paint it Balboa Mist. It's a bright room. My question is- can I paint the back wall (not the small wall under stairs) going up the stairs a different color (Thinking silver satin)? Can I end Balboa Mist in the corner near the door? Some are telling me it's the same room, but I don't want the DR sliver satin and visa versa. All suggestions welcome. Thank you. A: What Barbara Lane said is very true, how light is hitting something determines the color seen. Thats why if you could look at a color fan and staying close to same color ...two shades can work. **Q: Faux wood, Can it really look like wood?** *(in Before & After)* A front door says so much about a home. Most people can't afford a solid wood door, way too costly. Here is an option if done correctly. I used paint and glaze to look like wood. Let me know your thoughts.
