Is the style of your home more rustic, farmhouse, or antique? > > If you are like me and answered YES to those questions, look absolutely no further than Ellen Kilroy for your next home redesign or furnishing project. Ellen was the perfect fit for our needs to furnish our 1880s home. She is warm, full of ideas, and knows what will suit your personal style. Best of all, she sees the uniqueness and charm of your home. Ellen even influenced some of our home projects outside of furniture decisions. When she saw our original windows and heard we were thinking of replacing them to be more energy efficient, she immediately had ideas on how to "save these classic windows" while also improving their efficiency. > > Ellen is our first choice for our home furnishing needs. **★★★★★ — boomerdebbie, Jan. 2021** > We have been working with Ellen for over 15 years. When we recently purchased a new home, there was nobody else we wanted to work with. > > Ellen listens to you. In a warm way, she has the personality and expertise to get a sense of your tastes, and your goals. I never get the feeling Ellen is just trying to just sell you furniture. Ellen is enthusiastic about your thoughts, and her suggestions are always spot on. > I highly recommend Ellen. You cannot do better, and you will love the results. > > Jim B. **★★★★★ — HU-610004434, Jan. 2020** > We sold our old house and bought a new home, that was more spacious. Saw promotional ads from Ethan Allen and figured what the heck - let’s check them out. The design center was only 40 min away. Not a big deal! > > Brought my mother along, since it was after all her house; to pick out a quality sofa-bed to start filling the extra space. Soon as we walked in, Ellen Kilroy a design associate greeted us. Her personality was charming and she was incredibly knowledgeable on the sofa-bed that caught our eyes. > > In less than 30 minutes, we selected a quality sofa, that also pulled out to be a spare queen size bed. In addition, we selected our custom fabric and upgraded our cushions. > > There was quite a bit of customization involved and of course that brought the price up. But not terribly. The sofa started around $3100 and with the upgrades I believe it was closer to $4000. Which is what quality furniture like this retails for. > > However, Ellen got our sofa - bed for $2700. Thanks to promotions she linked us up with. And of course we bought it! The value, quality, and friendliness we received, had our business from the beginning. I challenge anyone out there, to compare the quality, value and friendless with Ethan Allen’s competitors. You will realize yourself why this company and the Danbury location is best for you! > > We can’t wait until the sofa arrives and we will certainly be back soon! > > Thank you Ellen! **★★★★★ — Renee Meuse, Oct. 2019** > Ellen is an absolute dream to work with. She listened to our ideas and provided such amazing design choices that were true to our style. She has helped us complete 4 room renovations over the past year. We couldn't be happier with the final product. We are looking forward to working with her on the remaining rooms in our complete home renovation. **★★★★★ — HU-283669639, Aug. 2019** > We acquired a high end property for which we needed a complete design and furniture layout. While we have some experience in this area, we felt like we needed the help of an expert, and we found Ellen. She was an incredible help to us! We went from a blank slate to a beautiful design for every room in the house. She listened, was sensitive to our personal tastes and price considerations, and we are so pleased with the result. And she is an absolute pleasure to interact with and very responsive. Our highest recommendation, Ellen is awesome. **★★★★★ — Beth Kulik, Aug. 2019** > Ellen was so wonderful to work with! She is so knowledgeable and professional! She listened to what I wanted and what I was looking for in terms of style, color, and how inviting I wanted my new beach condo to be. Ellen pulled together a beautiful array of fabrics and furniture design. > Her response time to me was always immediate! We worked together to create a beautiful atmosphere which was so important to me. Thank you Ellen so much! You were so much fun to work with!! **Comment from Ellen Kilroy, Ethan Allen Danbury:** > Thank you so much Beth! > You were wonderful to work with as well....side by side.... as we designed your spectacular new beach condo! > I wish you so much happiness there as you make so many fabulous new memories there with your family! **★★★★★ — jmgaynor, May 2019** > I have had the pleasure of working with Ellen on several occasions to furnish homes in NY and MN from scratch. She has worked so hard to help us and her professional, calm demeanor is so refreshing. She is always prepared for our appointments and has great ideas. She has patience and never pushes us to buy. Ellen truly wants us to love what we purchase so she really takes the time to listen to our needs and find items that match our lifestyle. We have young children and she always keeps that top of mind such as selecting fabrics with stain resistance or being aware of price points. > Recently, she did floor plans for all our rooms and we were able to really get a sense of what each room wound look like when complete. > She even worked with me to do a room all through pictures and emails and it is one of our favorite places in our home. > Ethan Allen is quality furniture that we love but Ellen’s talent makes it an even more valuable brand. She has outdone herself in helping us have a beautiful, comfortable home. Please give her a call. You will be so happy to meet and work with her. **★★★★★ — Corinne Pickett, Sept. 2018** > Ellen worked with me on my living room, master bedroom suite and foyer. With her help, I got the look I wanted and I'm so pleased with the result! Ellen's work ethic is TOP NOTCH! She was always prepared with ideas and samples when we met. She was very quick to respond to my emails and I never had to wait long for quotes. I love that! Ellen always paid attention to detail and had creative suggestions to make my space look great. I appreciated that she always listened to my input and made sure that I got the look I was going for. She was excellent with follow-up too, and that was so helpful to me. Besides being an outstanding designer, she's a wonderful person and I look forward to working with her on more projects in my home. Thank you Ellen! **★★★★★ — Peg Mimno, May 2018** > When I decided to re-decorate my living room, it was an easy decision to go straight to the EA Design Center. I reviewed all the bios of the decorators the same way I would research a doctor --- experience and philosophy. I felt Ellen Kilroy and I were a match. The entire process of collaborating with her was truly a pleasurable experience from start to finish. Working our way through furniture styles, colors and fabrics was as comfortable and as satisfying as getting lost in a chocolate factory! Ellen's skill at questioning to understand my decorating goal, and her expertise to carry it out, made this project totally worthwhile and pure joy. **★★★★★ — Dennis A, April 2018** > We went to Ethan Allen to shop for furniture for our Breakfast Nook, Family Room and Master Bedroom. Our Interior Design Consultant Specialist, Ellen Kilroy, invested over 15 hours in four meetings including a home visit over the course of about 4 weeks helping us design our space, draft a layout, and select furniture. Actually, Ellen worked late with us twice after store hours to follow through on specific designs and furniture selections that we were focused on at the time. At no point in time during this entire process were we required to make an upfront purchase commitment, nor did we receive any high pressure sales pitch to purchase any items. We did not expect to receive this type of professional design service, expertise, and personal service. At all times, Ellen was a pleasure to work with, always friendly, very personable, and always put the customer first. Ellen listened to what style we were looking to achieve, paid attention to detail, and as a result was able to create a design to match the vision that we had in mind. It became clear that Ellen possessed a high level of professional design expertise and experience and was able to help us create a beautiful design for all our rooms and select the style of furniture that would make us happy. It was evident early on that Ellen possessed very high skills, experience, and knowledge in all aspects of the Interior Design process as well as an amazing knowledge of the products available at Ethan Allen. My wife and I felt very lucky to have met and worked with Ellen to help us select and design what we believe will be a beautiful house filled with high quality Ethan Allen furniture. We are very excited and can’t wait for the delivery of our furniture to transform our house into a home. Ethan Allen should commend Ellen for the excellent work that she does. It’s no surprise that Ellen has won awards from HOUZZ. **★★★★★ — Hilary & Michael House, Sept. 2017** > Ellen made decorating our new condo fun. We were struggling with downsizing and wasn't sure how to fit into a smaller space. She listened to our needs and was able to take many of our current, favorite Ethan Allen pieces and fill in with new fabrics, furniture, and other items. We love what she has done to refresh the look and feel. We look forward to working with Ellen on future projects! **★★★★★ — cwpatterson17, Sept. 2017** > Ellen Kilroy has been a delight to work with when decorating my homes the last 10 years. She has a way with furniture and fabrics as well as seeing spaces in a unique light. I cannot speak highly enough about her help with making our home perfect. ## Selected projects - [Ethan Allen Design Excellence Award Winning Master Bedroom Suite](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/ethan-allen-design-excellence-award-winning-master-bedroom-suite-pj-vj~5506580) - Location: Ridgefield, CT - Photos: 6 - [Ethan Allen Design Excellence Award Winning Transitional Living Room](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/ethan-allen-design-excellence-award-winning-transitional-living-room-pj-vj~571783) - Location: Bedford, NY - Photos: 2 - Description: Beautiful, transitional, elegant living room in neutral tones and textures ~ - [Serenely Elegant Family Room](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/serenely-elegant-family-room-pj-vj~1389805) - Location: Bedford, NY - Photos: 4 - Description: Neutral ,Transitional, Elegant Family Room ...
