I will not do anything in my house without her help. She has great ideas and has never let me down. She always is considerate of my budget and ready to help me when I call her. I trust her completely. > > Most recent project was choosing paint colors and carpet and cabinets for a new house and recovering furniture and buying some new furniture and rugs and bedding and custom drapes and shades. She came out to help place the furniture in the perfect spots and always comes for drapery installs. **★★★★★ — brand59, March 2016** > Cricket Johnson and the The Accessory Place have been a pure joy to work with to decorate my new home. Unfortunately, I had very bad experiences with prior designers before her. She was recommended by a mutual friend and without her, I don’t think I would have every finished decorating. > > She is the best in her field and vey knowledge when it comes to interior decorating but, it is her ability and great attitude to understand her clients needs that makes her stand out!! She is very patient and never pushes her ideas and works with you to ensure your satisfaction. She always delivered to her commitments, deadlines and had great follow up with the utmost attention to detail! Not only would I would recommend her, I will continue to use her going forward for any design needs!!! **★★★★★ — tbwbad, March 2016** > I have been working with Cricket Johnson for over twelve years. She has created beautiful spaces throughout my entire home in Houston and condo in College Station. Cricket also helps me decorate during all of the holidays and makes my home wonderfully festive. I am lucky to have been introduced to her so many years ago and now can't live/decorate without her! She is truly one of the best! **★★★★★ — grandmary24, March 2016** > I worked with Jean Ellen Russell (accessory Place designer) on a bedroom redo. She selected a possible color palette and helped me decided on new bed coverings in that range. We covered a foot-of-the-bed bench and bought new chairs (also covered in material that coordinated with the bed decor). My favorite was the faceted lamps she found in just the right color for the new scheme. In addition she suggested painting some built-ins to bring out the oriental design of our house and ingeniously suggested an oriental patterned riser (which my husband was able to build with her instructions) to raise the height of our original bedside tables to the height of the new bed. We have a very neutral house and she picked the perfect wall color to bring it all together. She also made sure that the new chairs were in a color that could be moved any where in the house in the future. I couldn't have done it without her! **★★★★★ — vivthigpen, March 2016** > We loved working with Jean Ellen Russell at Accessory Place. We were tired of the saturated jewel tones and were looking to replace furniture in our living/family room. We had already painted the walls and trim (SW Manchester Tan and BM Sea Pearl). After trying many big named stores (and knowing that we had made some costly mistakes previously), my husband and I walked into Accessory Place and loved the vignettes they created with a variety of furniture styles and accessories. Lucky for us we met Jean Ellen. She helped us with the color scheme, fabric and furniture choices and furniture arrangement. And she was so good at guiding our choices. She was truly hands on and visited our home many times to make sure we were on track. After choosing a sofa from one of the styles we saw at Accessory Place, we decided to reupholster some of our existing chairs. Jean Ellen chose some beautiful fabrics to coordinate with our sofa fabric. We began in October and by Thanksgiving we had our beautiful new living/family room. We were so pleased that as soon as our built-ins are completed in the study we will asking Jean Ellen to help us again. **★★★★★ — carmel4952, March 2016** > I have been working with Jane at the Accessory Place since we moved into our new house in January 2014. I was completely overwhelmed. She came in and helped me determine where to place pictures, furniture and other items along with assisting me in purchasing new items from the Accessory Place. She also helped me to select fabrics to recover family heirlooms and for draperies and table runners. Jane was also instrumental in getting some rugs for hard to fit places. Then at Christmas time she helped me select and place garlands on my stairway railing and mantle along with assisting me to select other Christmas decorations. My house is a work in progress's and she is always on the lookout for a beautiful lamp or just the perfect accessory. **★★★★★ — crkhou, Feb. 2016** > Jane Harrington of The Accessory Place helped in the complete redecorating of our family room, and accessorizing in other rooms. She is professional, knowledgeable, resourceful, gracious and has a great eye for color and design. She took the time to get to know us in order to work within our style and our budget, and guided us in making sound design decisions while adding a little flair that makes our room personal and special. She tirelessly worked with us to design a plan and find furnishings - sofa, chairs, ottoman, lamps and accessories - that fit with an area rug and art work we already had. The Accessory Place offers a broad range of excellent furniture and accessory options and a wonderful staff that is dedicated to meeting the needs of their clients. Even with a few glitches in the process, Jane was a delight to work with and handled everything with a smile and grace. I recommend her and the store without reservation. **★★★★★ — 5phyllis, Feb. 2016** > I was a complete novice to decorating when I walked into Accessory Place one Sunday in August. Jean Ellen Russell was there and listened to me trying to explain what I wanted in my guest bath. She came to my townhouse shortly after that and we began a wonderful relationship and all of her suggestions for my remodeling turned out spectacular. She was most professional, let me participate in helping choose fabrics and she was most creative in my window treatments. We became a great team and she provided me with a contractor, painter and floor man. She really knows the decorating business and I just loved working with her and highly recommend her to all. My townhouse now looks amazing, thanks to Ms. Russell's ideas! **★★★★★ — pattigon, Feb. 2016** > I hired Gretta Hall from the Accessory Store to redesign our home in Menorial Park 4 years ago. She came in and did her magic on 2 bedrooms , living room and kitchen. The outcome was extraordinary, we were liking waking into a new home. Two years ago I hired her for our new built home in Lakeway. I had her help me with designs , fabrics and colors for custom made living, bedrooms and window treatment . She is the best designer I've have ever worked with and always have been very pleased . She is always a phone call away if needed. I would highly recommend Gretta and continue using her services for my next project. She is very professional and a pleasure to work with . I wouldn't go anywhere else but The Accessory Place. **★★★★★ — amy\_miers57, Feb. 2016** > The Accessory Place is one of my favorite stores. There is so much to look at, you need to make a few rounds just to see all the great things they have to offer. All of the employees, especially designers, are so knowledgeable and have excellent taste! Whether I am going into to find a great gift or looking for a special piece of furniture, I know I will find it there and get inspiration too! ## Selected projects - [The Accessory Place - Retail Store](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-accessory-place-retail-store-pj-vj~1551866) - Location: Houston, TX - Photos: 63 - Description: The Accessory Place is a retail store in Houston, Texas, with a talented team of interior designers.
