They added a bathtub to an existing bathroom; re-pitched and re-roofed a portion of roof; insulated and replaced siding on a large dormer; repaired water damage to a soffit; replaced three bathroom doors with new doors altered in shop to match existing doors in the home; and most recently revitalized my front porch with a beadboard ceiling, fans, and resurfaced cement steps. > > The attention to detail that Dayton brings to his craft is unparalleled. To give you a few examples, he mixed two colors of tile grout in three different ways to match my old floors. He dug through old doors in my basement, pulled off beautiful old hinges and doorknobs, cleaned them up in his shop, and used them on new doors so that they would match the rest of the house. He surprised us by installing an appropriate weather seal to our old, huge front door, just because he noticed it wasn't closing/sealing well. When our upstairs bathtub installation led to the discovery of a leaking drainpipe, he was the calming presence who removed and then resinstalled a section of kitchen cabinets so that the plumbers could access the leaking pipe. He has created a new living space for my family on our front porch: we share dinner together there almost every night and spend time together on the swing and in the rocking chairs. > > From the process of evaluation and estimate through project completion, I have only ever been treated with kindness and honesty.
