> Robert Canaan unfortunately did not do a good job in my apartment -  his paint job was at best sub-par. The only way to get his guys to finish the work was to stay on top of them which took quite a bit of effort on my part. A two week project turned into over one month, and still not finished with a lot of issues - bumpy, uneven skim coating, spots with missing paint, door frames they patched with some substance (I think it was caulk!?) that started to change shape and shifted a few months after they were gone... etc.etc...
> They also consumed an incredible amount of paint (the paint alone cost me over a thousand dollars!) because they had to redo a lot of their "work" (or whatever else they did  with the paint ??). They also left windows with splatters of paint, which I noticed only after they had finished and left. Less than a year later I noticed a big crack in the wall where they plastered and painted. I would definitely avoid this contractor.

> Fixed damaged plaster and removed wallpaper in hallway and staircase.  They applied an oil base coat before painting 2 boats of primer and then 2 coats of latex paint. The workers were great and Robert even came back to inspect the job and complete any touch ups. Very professional job.

> I hired Robert and his crew to paint three hard to reach ceilings plus the walls of one bedroom. First, Robert will meet with you to provide a detailed quote of the project at hand. The job took the indicated time and cost the indicated price. We were nervous because the rooms have a lot of furniture, but all items were carefully placed in the center of the room and covered. Plastic was draped from the walls to protect the rooms that were already painted. The paint came out great and the mess from the job was minimal. I already invited Robert back to provide me with a quote for our basement.

> I originally hired Robert about two years ago to paint the living room, dining room and both the lower and upper hallway of my older home, he and his crew did an excellent job. Because it is an older home it was not a straight forward job, there was a lot of preparation required before the actual painting could be done, they really did a great job patching cracks, staining woodwork, repairing ceilings, etc. I recently hired him again  to paint my kitchen after the wallpaper was removed, once again excellent prep work and great paint job.
