From our initial consultation to replace existing asphalt, sealing the roads, painting the curbs, adding speed bumps and replacing the street signs with new ones... Baker Patios were a pleasure to work with. After a couple of quotes from others, Steve offered valuable observations that improved our plan and ended up saving us money from others. We wanted to level up the community drive experience, it came out looking like a million bucks. I am hoping to strip it off and apply a different semi solid stain that is also better for the wood. A couple questions if anyone has experience 1\. We only painted 24 hours ago, is it too soon to begin sanding or stripping? It feels mostly dry but a little gummy/sticky. (or not sure if it's maybe even easier to sand or strip at this early stage?) 2\. Should I begin trying to strip with chemicals vs. maybe renting a floor sander? I've seen a lot of mixed information about whether stain strippers will even work on solid stains. Thanks for any input here! A: Hi @Aria Blanc, sorry for your situation. I cant really understand what is it, but from my understanding, is that stain penetrates and bonds to the wood fibers. As much as you may need to begin sanding or stripping, you'll need to wait til it dries. to understand this: 1\. Please identify the right type of stain for your wood. 2\. As much as stripping it is what you want because of the outcome, I would insist on doing it the right way but avoid chemicals, because they all mess up with surface suitability, for future renovation. You al least use a diamond brush. I would recommend floor sanders, ONLY IF, you'll be using the same color of stain after removing the old stain. 3\.
