> Karen did an excellent job helping us design our master bath. Her experience and guidance was invaluable when selecting products, finishes and even contractors. She helped us keep on schedule and budget. We couldn’t be more pleased with our finished bath and would definitely recommend giving Karen a call for any design projects.

**Comment from KCR Interiors LLC:**

> Thank you Amy, it was a pleasure working with both you and Dan on your remodeled Master Bathroom. Your new bathroom is not only beautiful and functional but timeless. Thank you for the opportunity to design your new Master Bathroom.

**★★★★★ — User, April 2017**

> Karen's design was so beautiful! What a joy to photograph. The attention to details really made the place pop. She was so personable and easy to work with, I really look forward to collaborating with her again. (I do not know the project cost, but I took a guess).

**Comment from KCR Interiors LLC:**

> Thank you Nina, it was a pleasure to work with you and look forward to you photographing my next project! You guessed right on the price of the kitchen.

**★★★★★ — Sprovieri's Custom Counters, March 2017**

> It is always great to work with a designer who is not only knowledgable about all aspects of the project, but also educates her clients as well. Because of this, our project ran smoothly and turned out beautifully! We were always on the same page during every step of the process. I am excited to work with Karen again and can't wait to see her future projects fabricated.

**Comment from KCR Interiors LLC:**

> Thank you for your confidence in my knowledge and expertise of my design work. I look forward to working with you again on future projects.

**★★★ — juje03, Aug. 2015**

> Needed guidance in decorating a remodeling job and picking out paint colors. Karen
> was very helpful with picking out the colors and the carpet. I love both of them.
> Karen also guided me in the style of furniture to purchase although I went to a different store to purchase since the showrooms were pricier than I wanted to spend.
> She has a great sense of style and is very easy and fun to work with.

**★★★★★ — The Drapery Source, July 2015**

> My workroom, The Drapery Source, Inc., fabricates custom window treatments for KCR Interiors. I am always impressed with Karen's attention to detail. Before the final presentation, Karen and I discuss the design, material selection, and fabrication process, ensuring that her customer's expectations are exceeded!

**Comment from KCR Interiors LLC:**

> Thank you for your review. It's always a pleasure to work with you.

> We hired KCR Interiors LLC to help with the selection of colors for our living and dining rooms. We also needed some guidance on window treatments for these same rooms and the kitchen. We had previously worked with Karen for colors for our kitchen and entryway and wanted the colors to complement each other. Karen is always very professional to work with. She has a wealth of knowledge and gives you many options to choose from. She has an eye for pulling things together in a finished look. We were undecided on the best window treatment for our new bow windows and Karen gave us the pros and cons of the various materials we could use. We ultimately decided on Hunter Douglas Duette Lite Rise Top Down Bottom Up Architella Classic shades and are thrilled with our decision. The rooms are warm and inviting now. Karen is always mindful of our budget and has met any deadlines that we had. We will be working with her again in the near future for valances for the living room and dining room windows.

**Comment from KCR Interiors LLC:**

> Thank you Pam for your review. I'm so happy you are thrilled with your beautiful new shades. They not only compliment your new bow windows, but give you the light control you so need for the afternoon sun, and privacy you desire for night. I'm excited to work with you again on the soft treatments to complete your vision for your living and dining rooms.

> If it were an option, I would give Karen six stars. My husband and I hired Karen in March of 2011 to completely redecorate our master bedroom. Karen turned this room into a space beyond any imaginable dream. Karen's passion, creativity and innovation were clearly demonstrated throughout the entire project from the initial consultation to the final finishing touches. She really takes the time to learn what's important to you, your likes/dislikes, and preferences while continuing to be mindful of your project's budget. What we most appreciated about Karen was her ability to provide both beauty and functionality. Our bedroom had always been cold and used a space heater which solved our problem minimally. Karen came up with the idea of a small electric fireplace built into one of the bedroom walls. Our bedroom has never been warmer and Karen turned it into one of the most beautiful focal points in the room. We recently hired Karen again to help us remodel/redecorate our bathroom and know we are in the best hands.

**★★★★★ — kcrkitchen, Feb. 2013**

> I was extremely happy and satisfied with the outcome of the kitchen project with KCR Interiors. They were knowledgeable in planning and choosing every single detail from the cabinets to the appliances to the cabinet hardware. Very punctual and pleasant to work with, they placed orders in a timely manner for the project to proceed smoothly. Their creative ideas and cooperation with the client made this project so much fun. The quality products they introduced specifically in the countertop selections, made all the difference for this project to go from very good to excellent!

She establishes a rapport of trust and confidence and the end result is a transformed interior which delights her clients.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Gray floor tile** *(in Photo Questions)*

what is the name of that floor tile?

A: This floor tile was from a kitchen remodel completed in 2016. The product is as follows: Canyon Wall unpolished, Cross-Sheen 12”x24” and the color is Bedrock.

**Q: Kitchen help! Cabinets look yellow BM white dove** *(in Paint)*

i did my research when I picked BM white dove to paint my kitchen cabinets but now they look green-yellowish. I’m not sure if it’s the seashell gray wall color, the mosaic tile backsplash, the lighting etc. i Really want to rip out the mosaic but this isn’t our forever home so my husband doesn’t want to. The lights I currently have in are bright white light bulbs. How can I fix?!?!

A: The yellow color coming through is what can happen when you paint over oak cabinets. I would call an expert painter or a JC Licht to get advise on how to fix the color.

**Q: Artwork Placement** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm looking for advise on how this set of artwork should be hung. Should they be hung in the center of the wall or centered between the closet wall and the leaning shelf like I have them where they are best seen?

A: The pictures look great just as you have them.

**Q: Help! Wanting to paint/stain my built-ins, but leave the wood trim** *(in Paint)*

Hello! I would love to leave the beautiful wood trim, but need to lighten up the built-ins and area behind the TV. Also do something with the mantel. Thinking about painting a cream?

A: Do you know if there is drywall behind the wood panel behind the TV? If so, you could possibly paint the wall the same color as the rest of the room like you asked. If none of these suggestions is possible and you want to paint the panel behind the TV, then go for it. Remember once you paint it there is no going back. Another suggestion, would be to tape some light colored paper on the wood and see how you feel about it before you decide to paint. I just hate to see you do something that you can't reverse is you don't like it.

**Q: To paint or not to paint????** *(in Paint)*

I love our mantel and surround but I do not like the stain. It does not match anything in our home and seems very dated to me. I’m thinking of painting it a shade of white to match the antique marble tiles around the insert. It abuts stained baseboard and is next to a stained french door. I would just paint the fireplace surround. We have painted wainscoting and crown molding in a few adjacent rooms so painted trim in general would match with parts of our home. Am I crazy to paint this? Would the contrast next to the stained baseboard look out of place? Thoughts please!

A: I would not paint it. It's a beautiful piece and is part of the integrity of the room and would guess your home.

**Q: Master bath needs something?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Just finished our new Master bath, trying to figure out what to do , either side of my bath tub?
I m thinking built in shelves ( but I think too much white already?) or Floating wood stained shelving for a POP , different texture..not sure?

A: A valance with color, pattern or print over your window would set off your tub. I like Color Zen's advice on wall paper too. There are so many wonderful fabrics and wall papers to choose from. You could also place a garden stool on one side of your tub and place a plant on top.
