**Q: fireplace and TV placement** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm having trouble deciding where should I place the fireplace with the TV above it I'm having built ins put on either side of it but because of the door on the right it makes the shelving uneven in the room. should I Center the fireplace or should I offset the fireplace and TV as it is now to make the cabinet's look symmetrical.?

A: The TV and bookselves and mantel should be centered under the peak of the room.  That wall includes the opening ( door ).  You will never be happy if you don t use that peak as the center.
