> Ling delivered as promised. Easy to communicate with, always returned calls. I constantly hear horror stories of bad remodel jobs, thank God we didn't have this experience. We couldn't be more happy with our remodel. I'll add we had her design our job. She is definitely talented.
> I highly recommend.

> RemodelUp was fantastic. Remodels can be stressful, but working with Ling and her team made our kitchen, bath and laundry room remodel so easy. She was very professional, understood our vision for the rooms, had great design ideas and incorporated our suggestions. She set a realistic timeline for the project and she stayed on schedule by always planning a step ahead and ensuring items were ordered well in advance to avoid delays. Her subcontractors were all detail oriented, professional and arrived on time. It was a great experience and we would definitely work with her again.

> Absolutely blown away!
> Ling Antido remodeled our kitchen and bar in our Manhattan Beach home and my wife and I couldn’t be happier.
> From first meeting to design to implementation, every step has been easy, predictable, stress free, fun, and ultimately, just spectacular.
> Every contractor that works for her is absolute the best professional and Ling’s oversight and attention to detail made the vision come to fruition.
> Thank you Ling, now on to the bathroom!!!

**★★★★★ — Diane Frierson, March 2020**

> Remodel up did an off the chart job with my kitchen remodel. My designer, Ling, was easy to communicate with, she was there every morning with the workers and came back by at the end of the day. She listened to our concerns and design ideas. She always found a way to blend my husband and mines ideas. Her fun personality made this process fun.
> She quoted a completion time of 8 to 10 weeks. She came in at 9 1/2 weeks.
> I would recommend this design company to anyone who wants a quality job.

> Thank you Diane for taking time. I value your feed back so much. I enjoy working with you and Michael. My job was made easier because you had such great style. You understand the remodel process and kept an open mind, very cool and calm throughout.

> Ling was very helpful in designing our kitchen. . The ordering process was simple and easy and the promised time was fulfilled. I am for sure gonna send people her way as I am more than satisfied with the client service she demonstrated and of course the cabinets when they came. I love my kitchen!

> Ling with RemodelUp did an absolutely fantastic job with our project. Her attention to detail and the craftsmanship of the work her team did made every cent we spent worth it. Ling prevented a catastrophe from happening because of how detailed and on-top of everything she is - Amazon delivered a sink that was half the size it was supposed to be - she caught it right away - BEFORE the fabricator cut the granite to the wrong size. The seams on all of our counter tops are almost completely invisible and the bar is definitely the wow statement we wanted it to be at our studio. Ling was patient with us through every hiccup, design change, and provided lots of great ideas to get our kitchens where they are now. A huge thank you to LIng and her team at RemodelUp!

> We are extremely happy with the service provided by Remodel Up in remodeling our 2.5 bathrooms earlier this year. Ling clearly understood our needs and preferences and developed the designs accordingly. She was insightful and guided us through the challenging phase of selecting tiles and fixtures to ensure that we stayed within budget while pulling together a cohesive look. During the construction phase, Ling assisted us greatly in monitoring the progress and in addressing issues with the contractors on the timely manner. We highly recommend Remodel Up for home renovation.

**Comment from RemodelUp, Inc.:**

> Thank you so much Olivia and Anthony for the opportunity to work with you in your bathroom remodel. I enjoyed the experience; from conceptual phase to selecting the fixtures and finishes with you down to the actual construction. Your bathrooms were definitely transformed! I hope you enjoy it in the years to come!

> K + B Decon was an absolute pleasure to work with. Ling listened to our needs, likes and dislikes and created a wonderful design for our basement remodel.
>
> It was important to us to start with a solid visual design so we we would know where we were going before the contractors began demo. K + B provided multiple renders, and welcomed our feedback. In the end, our completed basement looks almost identical to the final render. Not only are we extremely pleased, but we plan to hire K +B for future projects and will recommend them to friends!

> Ms. Antido designed and supervised a complete remodel of our two-bedroom Long Beach condo from the walls out, including renovation of both bathrooms, installation of a new kitchen, and creation of a home office. Her designs were brilliant; her selections of colors and materials were perfect; and our newly-remodeled home is beautiful. K+B Decon also built and installed gorgeous new cabinetry throughout the unit. The final product is fantastic, and Ms. Antido was an absolute joy to work with. We'd give her six stars if the rating went that high.

> We are extremely pleased with the work done by Ling Antido of K + B Decon. The scope of the work included all cabinetry for the kitchen, a wine bar area, a guest bathroom and the laundry room. The cabinets have solid maple wood doors with natural wood interiors and concealed BLUM hinges with soft close mechanisms. The workmanship is outstanding and everything was completed and installed on time according to the schedule agreed upon. Ling was very easy to work with and made some excellent suggestions for selection and placement of cabinet hardware. She also helped with tile selection and design for the backsplash in the kitchen, at the wine bar area and in the guest bath. We highly recommend her and will certainly hire her again for any future design projects.

> Thank you Betty! You and John were a pleasure to work with. I was glad I had the chance to be a part of your project and that all the details and selections in your kitchen came together, beautifully.

**★★★★★ — msg3, June 2016**

> We hire Ling to re-design our original 1953 kitchen with the express brief that she work within the existing footprint and maintain the architectural integrity of our custom ranch home. She did an amazing job listening to our specific requirements, designing incredibly beautiful and functional new cabinets that resemble the original cabinets we took out, and she was there every step of the way during construction to make sure that the finished product was excellent. Tony from Tony's Natural Stone and Jose from Celco Construction and their respective crews were amazing as well. We could not be happier with our new kitchen and laundry area.

**Comment from RemodelUp, Inc.:**

> Thank you for the review, Matt! Creating a beautiful and functional kitchen for you to enjoy in the years to come was truly an honor.

## Community Q&A

**Q: What is the source of the iron cabinet hardware in this kitchen?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Beautiful work!

A: Happy to answer your question.

**Q: Planning Kitchen Reno, Geoluxe?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I am starting my first house reno, floors, kitchen, bathrooms, probably in that order. I am planning the kitchen reno and looking into stone right now. I am in-love with the GeoLuxe look but concerned there is little to no information out there. Does anyone have a history with the material? I'm looking for how it performs after the original fabrication hurtles have been jumped. The stuff sounds amazing on paper.

A: I do not recommend Geo Luxe. I recently purchased 3 slabs of Palissandro polished for a client's kitchen remodel. You are right on it being hard to work with. The stone literally cracked in the middle as my fabricator was cutting it. He has been fabricating other similar porcelain and sintered stones. He followed the cutting sequence recommended by the factory. He went into the certification process, yet it still cracked. There was way too much precaution with this product prior to fabrication that I had a funny feeling in my gut whether to proceed. But my client loves the polished mirror look. I personally do not care for it. It looked fake and very synthetic. Some are successful with Geo Luxe. It could be a hit or miss. If you are willing to take the risk that the stone will not crack during fabrication, transport or installation, it may work out. But if it does crack, it is not worth the headache and the delay.

**Q: cabinets** *(in Photo Questions)*

what kind of cabinets are these?

A: These are Omega Cabinets.

**Q: BUYER BEWARE - CAMBRIA BRITTANICCA** *(in Design Dilemma)*

If you are considering Cambria products, especially any with a patterns such as Brittanicca, I would like you to reconsider. This is how my counter ended up looking. I worked with Solid Surfaces in Western NY, I went to their location, selected my slab and they taped off where the counter would be seamed. They DID NOT, however, tell me that the specific type of seam that they used takes 2 inches out of the area where the seam is. This causes the veining to be completely mismatched. When I reviewed it with them, they had me sign a form and the salesperson said "this is because the veins might not match up perfectly". I expected that maybe it would be a centimeter or so off but that the veining would still match. I am disappointed after spending over $6000 on these counters. My warning to you is that Cambria makes you sign a form and this form will give you NO RECOURSE, whether it cracks (which I have read many unhappy Cambria customers on other threads on this forum whose countertops cracked within days of install) or whether you are unsatisfied for any way. They do not put the customer first. They do not even consider the customer, which I think is terrible customer service. Once you sign that form, you are completely on your own. I wanted to share my story with you so that this does not happen to anyone else. This is something that we spent a lot of time deciding and was the final piece to our kitchen remodel. And after spending so much money, Cambria and Solid Surfaces was a HUGE disappointment. I hope this helps someone! Does anyone agree that this is not correct?

A: Sue and Ellie, to be safe, I would use brackets if the overhang is 15" or more, given it is a 24" deep base, installed securely. I don't normally put brackets if the overhang is between 10" -12".

**Q: Hardware** *(in Photo Questions)*

May I know who makes these cabinet hardware

A: Hello. These cabinet hardware are from Top Knobs

**Q: What type of wood and stain?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What's is door style?

A: Hi, it is a wide rail shaker door in Alder wood in burgundy stain.
