Would you keep your hot tub open year round? What would you use for your cover?
A: Thank you for your inquiry. This is a question for the homeowner and we are the pool builder. Typically the hot tubs are not kept open year-round in our climate, although it is technically possible. There are a variety of spa covers that are available, and many spas that we build also have automatic safety covers installed at the time of the build, although the spa is not one of these.

A: Thank you! It’s actually Diamond Brite from SGM, which is quartz based rather than the pebble.

**Q: Question about the plumbing** *(in Photo Questions)*
We are looking to build a pool and spa very similar to this one. Is the spa on the same plumbing and filtration lines as the pool or are they entirely separate?
A: Thank you for your inquiry. There are two primary ways to plumb a pool and spa combination:
Shared Equipment System: This setup uses automatic valves to switch between Pool Mode and Spa Mode. It’s more cost-effective upfront since the pool and spa share the same equipment. However, heating the spa takes longer because the water starts at the pool’s temperature.
Dedicated Spa Equipment: This option provides a completely separate set of equipment for the hot tub. It offers faster heating and independent operation, though it comes at a higher initial cost.
Regarding the waterfall feature, it can be designed as a true overflow from the spa into the pool, or plumbed with a dedicated return line.
