Brad worked closely with us to determine risks, options, and help consult to our decision. Ultimately after Brad walked us through pros/cons and risks, we opted to spend a little more and do a scrape. This was our first time ever considering building, so we were quite the neophytes and heard much about unscrupulous contractors. I'm happy to say that we were extremely pleased with our choice with Element and the scrape. Brad was wonderful to work with and provided very clear work plans and associated budgets, ensuring we stayed with ours, and being a great consultant for items that came up along the way, so we could make good decisions. We were very happy with the ultimate build and how easy it was to work together as a team. What makes Element and Brad so great goes beyond the initial build, though their value shines there. As with most homes, settling occurs after the build and some new items might pop up every so often that needed attention from Element. Brad was there for us every time, though happy to say they were few in number. He and his team did a quality job and it showed. The last item that came up related to settling involved our window wells, about 4 years after we moved in. Brad was quick to respond to our call, and showed up the same day to take a look. As always, Brad handled the work that needed to be done and honored his word. In retrospect I think one of the biggest selling points on who to go with for general contracting is trust. I would recommend Brad and Element Custom Builders to anyone who wishes to build or pop, namely because you can trust him to do a quality job and follow through with all obligations. A: Hi Kelly! We used absolute black and carrara marble for the floor tile. Pieced (all 9x3); 1 carrara, 1 absolute black and 1 carrara in a herringbone pattern.
