Also the right wall needs something. Maybe art? I was considering a built in bench with a cushion made to match. The bottom would be storage like my kitchen shakers. However I’m not sure I like the idea of a built in as it’s so permanent. We walk in the door and the floor is a catch all of backpacks, purses etc. I need something functional yet decorative. I’m in Southern California so there aren’t mud rooms here. I like the concept but with a window it’s hard to imagine. Also the entry way as you enter the door needs something. I’m getting a Dutch door there. I’ve included the kitchen which is a work in progress. Colors are gray tones.
