> Working with this company has been a disappointing and frustrating experience.
>
> Sign a contract with Archadeck on May 18th for a screened-in porch and patio. On October 7th, all we have so far is a muddy back yard and partially framed porch. The ceiling on the porch was supposed to have exposed rafters. On 9/14, their electrical contractor drilled holes through the rafters and left wires hanging down, it ruined the ceiling. This could have easily been avoided if the project manager had been on-site when the electrical sub was there. Nearly a month later and we are still waiting for them to fix that issue.
>
> At this point, I don't have a realistic timeline for when someone will show up to start working again, or when they expect to finish this project. Their project management tool buildertrend.net is not accurate. The calendar published doesn't match the work to be done, and people rarely respond to questions posted through it.
>
> Not a company that I would recommend to anyone at this point.

> I just want to give a shout out to Mark Norton at Archadeck and the Archadeck crew that just finished up our Patio extension! If you're thinking about doing a patio extension, I highly recommend using them! They underpromised and over delivered at every turn for our project! They were Professional and when we had any concerns at all, they were quickly addressed with no issues at all! I honestly don't have anything but good things to say about them!! I highly recommend them!! :D

**★★★★★ — Karen G, April 2020**

> Highly recommend Archadeck as they turned our porch into an extension of our living space that can be enjoyed rain or shine. The cost is reasonable and our Project Manager, Kathy Young was super!

> We used Archadeck for our backyard covered patio. We couldn't be more HAPPIER with the final product. Mike England, Dave Block , Mike Homewood and Amanda were all great to work with. Whenever we called or text e-mailed we would get an answer or call back from them right away. Dave was awesome to work with he addressed any questions or concerns we had and made sure the crews were doing their jobs. He would visit the job site a couple of times a week just to see how it was progressing. Dave made sure everything went smooth and kept us updated on the work schedule he made it a pleasurable experience. I would definitely recommend Archadeck if you are thinking about a project.

> Working with Mike Luick, of Archadeck Outdoor Living, was a pleasure from the very start of our backyard project. We knew we wanted a deck overlooking the woods in the back of our property but we didn't have any creative ideas of how to get it done. Mike Luick drew up a very unique, large deck that floats over the wooded ravine out back. He was very helpful when choosing decking materials, colors/stains, railings, appliances, etc. He was on-site quite often during the build process to oversee that things were being constructed as planned and he was a very good liaison between us and the construction workers.
>
> We have had a few weather related issues, like a tree limb falling and cracking a pice of decking, in the past SIX years and he has always been quick to reply to my emails/texts and has a solution or repair scheduled within a few days. We have been more than pleased with the professionalism, courtesy, customer service, and quality of the job done. Highly recommend for sure.

> What can I say... They were FANTASTIC!!! Greg was a great person to deal with. He came up with a design that fit our home perfectly. The quality of the products used & the Crew that performed the install were FANTASTIC!!! After several months of use, there are NO ISSUES!!! I would recommend them HIGHLY. And yes, they were a bit more than others we had come out, but the products used and workmanship were WELL worth the small difference in price.

> We have had a number of neighbors inquire about our screened porch to sunroom conversion project, and we cannot recommend Archadeck.
>
> An 8 week project took 12 weeks to complete, with the first half moving in SLOW motion. A good portion of that delay was due to window delivery, which Archadeck blamed on the supplier (Andersen/Home Depot). The contract with Archadeck was signed on 08/17/2018, the project began on 11/30/2018, the windows were manufactured on 11/21/2018, and were delivered here on 12/21/2018. The windows should have been ordered much earlier so as not to delay the project as much as they did. Running out of materials (or having excess materials) became an all too common theme.
>
> But the end result is that we have a lovely sunroom. But we will never enjoy it "as much as we should" because we will always know that a significant issue that was called out by us VERY EARLY on, and could have/should have been fixed, was not. And the carpenter and project manager CHOSE TO ignore it and our concerns and push forward, and we didn't say STOP! The lead carpenter who did some work at the very end of the project said it best when the issue was mentioned to him. "You shouldn't have even had to ask. It should have just been fixed."
>
> Lastly, sometime shortly after we made the final payment shown on Archadeck's invoice system, the amount due was increased by $1,000. Assuming that that figure didn't change on its own, it would have been appropriate for someone there to pick up the phone and acknowledge that the original final invoice had undercharged us by $1,000. Instead, our final payment was shown as a "partial payment" that I spotted on my own and called them.

> David was great to deal with and the finished product looks great! I definitely recommend Archadeck and I am very happy with my porch.

**Comment from Archadeck of Charlotte:**

> Thank you for the opportunity, you are wonderful customer to work with

**★ — Julie Mead, Nov. 2018**

> Just had to report them to the BBB. they sent me to collections for a bill I paid directly to the vendor. The porch is beautiful, however, the job that should have taken 8 weeks took 8 months to complete. If they could have done something wrong, they did, from the initial design which placed the wood burning fireplace too close to the house for code. This mistake pushed the project back several weeks/months. They needed to replace water damaged wood they installed. The Workman came to install tile before the wood was replaced. I’m sure if I had not been on site at the time he would have tiled over the water damaged wood. They did not check with me but assumed the ceiling was to be stained and not painted. The work order did not indicate paint or stain on the ceiling. They stained the ceiling and then had to cover and paint it. If they has simply asked me this would have saved the painters extra work. Every one was very pleasant to me but by the end I couldn’t trust whatever they told me

**Comment from Archadeck of Charlotte:**

> Hi Julie, at Archadeck of Charlotte, we strive to provide the best service possible and are sorry that in this case your expectations were not met. There were some unforeseen complications with the project that unfortunately impacted the timeline.

**★ — Conor Marrinan, May 2018**

> My wife and I had Archadeck build a firepit for us last Summer and even then there were issues (i.e. owner of the company measured the incorrect measurements from the firepit location to our home and consistent scheduling issues). Then once they finally built the firepit, it looked great, but they forgot to add fire rocks and did not properly concrete the stone/synthetic stone. This then led to the concrete cracking only after 5-7 fires. I asked them to come over to fix their work product as it was part of the warranty, so they put in new concrete and added fire rocks. I was told this would no longer cause any cracking and if that was the case, they'd come back and fix the synthetic stone.
>
> The firepit continued to crack the synthetic stone and the concrete. I have called continuously to have them come and fix the firepit (again) and have been completely ignored.
>
> My advice, go with someone else to build your outdoor experience and save yourself from numerous headaches.

**Comment from Archadeck of Charlotte:**

> While we have completely rebuilt this customer's firepit (shortly after hearing from him) this review remains. We will always back up our work and in the event any other issues arise (though none are expected) we will be here.

**★★★★★ — Geoff White, April 2018**

> We asked Archadeck to design and build our deck last year and when I called them I had a specific design in mind. Mike England came out to the property and we talked through what I was thinking and Mike made some great observations on how to build on to my ideas. At the end of it, Mike created a drawing for us to review and look at what we envisioned could be the end result. We then scheduled the work, everyone showed up on time, cleared the work site when completed and now that the weather is warming up we can enjoy this great outdoor living area! I would recommend Archadeck to anyone and everyone looking to build a deck or design an outdoor living area.

**Comment from Archadeck of Charlotte:**

> We very much appreciate your business and your comments. We hope you have years of enjoyment on your outdoor living space

**★★★★★ — Brenda WYATT, March 2018**

> Archadeck of Charlotte stepped in to complete a pole barn/parking structure that someone else had started. From the very beginning their professionalism stood out to us based on our previous experiences. The project took approximately 5 months to complete due to weather, holidays etc. If/when we had any questions or concerns they were handled immediately by Bill Mullis, Project Manager for the job. He was always professional, courteous and helpful. We were never made to feel as if our questions or concerns were trivial. Our job was financed and the office staff was very helpful as well. We were respected at all times as well as was our property. We only wish we would have found Archadeck sooner. We HIGHLY recommend Archadeck for all your construction/remodel projects to your home. You will not be disappointed.
