He ask me for a $4,000 deposit. I hate to give a down payment, especially when he doesn’t have to order anything. He promised that he would get our drawings completed last year. When I started to reach out to JP, the chase was on it took him a month to respond to my calls, texts and emails. I was not easy to deal with given that he was not responding. I tried to hold him accountable. His excuse was that he had a new puppy and the puppy was chewing everything. Really, are you kidding me? He started to create our drawing for an addition. He had no creative ideas, we had to give him our suggestions. I held him to a meeting on Friday afternoon’s. I think it was 3 Fridays for an hour. We saw very little preparation for each meetings. He sent us basic drawings of the exterior and interior layout. We were pleased to see progress. I know he wasn’t happy dealing with me, because I held him accountable. Then we received his invoice. Wow-I’m 68 years old and I thought I saw and dealt with everything and everyone in my 68 years. He billed me $8,700. My wife and I can’t believe his invoice for such little work performed. Be very very careful with JP- how do I trust him going forward.
