Any suggestions to complete it would be great...I love glam and texture. Club chairs can go if they are a lost cause...I have new dining chairs coming next week which I pictured below...currently have 2 lawn chairs as temp. A: Have you thought about something on the windows to enhance the overall feel of the room? Window treatments don't have to cover the windows. They can accent the window nicely and add the the feel of the overall room. **Q: Not working :(** *(in Design Dilemma)* My living room needs.....something! I just can't seem to get it to blend together, no matter what I do! I am stuck using the same furnishings for now, but thought maybe darker tables so they don't get lost in the floor? Hubby says tv has to stay (not necessarily there tho). The window is surrounded by cedar panels (paint it?...paint a different wall?) it feels like there is too much light wood. I have been laid up for over a month and sitting in this room is driving me nuts! Can't do anything right now but some ideas would be great for when I recover :) A: Since your rooms blend together, think about making the window treatments the same in each room, for easy flow and transition of the eye. Take down the cornices and the shades, they are too bulky for that room and space. Put up long panels on each window that can open and close, on a traverse rod if needed, to cover the windows when you don't want the light coming in. Using blackout panels will help as well. Make all the panels in the living room and kitchen the same so the rooms blend together better, and mount them at the same height. De-clutter like they said above and a darker stain would look great on the wood, along with a darker paint on the walls around the fire place.
