Also, are the cabinets solid wood or laminate interiors? The configuration looks quite close to what we're after... Thanks! A: Hi, It would effect the price pretty significantly. Our sheet material cost for good-2-side plywood vs. melamine is about 450%, and ends up increasing the cabinetry cost by about 40%. **Q: Thinking about painting cabinets. What color will work with this style?** *(in Design Dilemma)* Help! We are torn between painting the cabinets expresso and using white quartz countertops or painting them white, with marble countertops. Advice? A: If you change the floors, move your base cabinets and put the new flooring underneath them. You will thank me later. Also, if you're going with stone, pick an inexpensive one. Your cabinets are not that great (sorry), but if you ever decide to replace them and/or make small changes to the layout, the countertops won't be reusable and the flooring (if it doesn't go underneath) will restrict you from moving anything by even an inch. --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
