> I am an interior designer and I worked with Redhill Painting for a project in San Francisco. Redhill was tasked with painting the interior and exterior of a traditional Nob Hill Victorian. I enjoyed working with Philip and his crew. Philip was easy to work with—professional, responsive, and hard working. The crew was thorough from prep and cleaning to finishing touches. They also worked efficiently, completing the project on time and on budget. I would definitely recommend Redhill to others.

> The Redhill painting team did an outstanding job on patching and painting the Living Room, Bedrooms and Kitchen. The house is over 100 years old and need some cosmetic work on my very irregular plaster walls before painting. I am extremely satisfied with their skills and professional ability. The cost for each project was very reasonable and completed in a few days. Now I am getting ready for them to paint the exterior.

> Phillip and Redhill Painting are a class act. Their bid for the quality of work was competitive. They did a thorough job of prepping, painting and cleaning up. I didn't realize until now what a difference a great paint job makes! As importantly, Phillip and ALL his crew were so friendly and personable, that they were delightful to have around the house. So much so, my wife is already asking if they can come back and paint interiors during they winter rains. I would highly recommend these guys!

> We were referred to Redhill Painting from one of our colleagues. We were hired to repair a home in San Francisco that had water damage. This project had a very tight deadline. Due to the circumstances Philip and his team responded quickly and completed their work on-time, on-budget in a very professional manner and produced excellent work. I highly recommend Redhill Painting.

> Red Hill Painting is a great painting company to work with on projects. Their level of perfection and attention to detail is extremely appreciated, especially in the design world. Philip of Red Hill painting and his team are a pleasure to work with and I plan to use them on future projects. We have always been happy with their results and are happy to refer them to clients.

**★★★★★ — Nan Kornfeld: Architectural Color Specialist, Sept. 2015**

> My name is Nan Kornfeld and I am an architectural color specialist. I have worked with Philip on numerous projects of all sorts over many years, including his own home. Philip and his crew do excellent work, to be sure, but what is most impressive to me is the following. First, Philip is an absolute straight shooter with a lovely sense of humor. These are qualities not to be underestimated when someone is working in and on your home. Second, both Philip and his crew are completely comfortable and skilled at doing any kind of job from the simplest to the most complex, in terms of colors specified, architecture and more. I respect him very much. Thanks for painting my house too!

> We chose Redhill Painting after interviewing various competitors and had a fantastic experience with Philip and his team. We worked together choosing colors for the inside of our 4 level home and Philip made it as stress free as possible during the process which inevitably involved us changing our minds or the color palate as we moved through the house. Philip kept in touch daily, using stopping by every morning to check on the progress and be available for questions, and we really appreciated the flexibility, good humor and professionalism of all his team. We would highly recommend them to others.

> I used Red Hill to paint my interior hallway. Our home is an 1892 Victorian, so the crew had to deal with a 24 foot ceiling (parlor floor to ceiling of bedroom floor hall) and a paint scheme with 4 colors: (1) all picture rails, rubbing strakes, baseboards, door and window casings, base blocks, corner blocks, and sill; (2) anaglypta; (3) wall body; and (4) walls above the picture rail and ceilings. Philip was on the jobsite nearly every day to ensure the foreman and crew had all the supplies and tools to do the job. The crew was extremely careful with masking and sealing door openings, covering the floors, and masking windows to avoid overspray or spills. The entire crew was polite and pleasant to have inside our home. Philip's labor estimate was pretty much spot on. In an old house, there are always a few surprises, but he and his crew were able to find a way to achieve my goals. I did ask for an add-on to the scope of work that was accommodate with a small addition to the agreed price. This was pretty much a no-hassle job: they began work when promised, kept to the proposed schedule, and completed on-time and on-budget. I will definitely consider Red Hill for any future painting projects.

> Redhill Painting painted our last three homes and we highly recommend them! They are professional and offer a complete range of services from advice on paint color/finish to painting walls, or more innovative surfaces like chalkboards and white boards. As busy as they are, they try their best to work with your schedule and start and finish your project on time. The owner, Philip Storey, is friendly and knowledgeable and hires great people. RedHill Painting are the best painters in the Bay Area!

> I was getting my entire home painted this year. Philip and his team were not only extremely professional but he explained the differences between the different types of paint, what to use for walls vs. doors vs. kitchens etc. He also gave his professional opinion on durability vs. cost of the different paint brands - all information I didn't know until I talked with Philip. The crew was amazing, took care of some extras for me. Super courteous, fast and efficient. I would highly recommend Red Hill Painting for any type of job you may have.

> I am a custom cabinetmaker and I have worked with RedHill Painting on a variety of projects over the last 2+ years. Whether they are painting MY cabinetry itself or coordinating other painting around my work, it has always been a pleasure to collaborate with Philip and his crew. Communication between sub-contractors is at times challenging, but I have always been made to feel as though my work is as much a priority for RedHill as it is for me...and that results in the best possible product for the client (our ultimate goal!). Simply feeling confident in RedHill's ability to paint my cabinetry with the same attention to detail I give each piece during the fabrication process is a greater endorsement that I could express here. Lots of folks call themselves "painters," very few of them afford their clients the professionalism, care and accountability I've experienced working alongside RedHill.

> RedHill Painting delivers excellent work with an eye to precision and quality. The owner, Philip, was highly professional and attentive to my needs. Throughout the project design process, Philip did a great job explaining my options to ensure the final product would be exactly what I wanted. The crew is efficient, detailed, and considerate - making the actual work painless and unobtrusive. They completely surpassed my expectations and were a pleasure to work with.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Cabinet Painting...** *(in Photo Questions)*

Did you paint the cabinets here? And if so, were the doors done onsite or offsite? How many coats of paint & sealant do you recommend?

A: Yes. The moveable items like the drawer fronts and drawers were removed and sprayed onsite in the garage. The immoveable objects like the boxes were sprayed in place. We used one coat of shellac primer and two coats of finish.

**Q: Paint colors?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Paint colors?

A: Unfortunately I'm not sure. They colors are from the C2 palette but the paint store that supplied them and where i kept a record of client transactions, G&R paint, has since gone out of business and their successor didn't retain the records. My clients sold the house and moved away.
I could stop by the house and ask the current owners if you're looking to match them exactly
