> MELISSA IS EXCEPTIONAL IN WHAT SHE DOES! SHE HAS REMODELED MY HOME AND WAS INVOLVED IN THE SUBCONTRACTING OF SUBS TO DO THEIR PROFESSIONS IN AN EXCELLENT MANNER. MELISSA IS ALWAYS ACCESSIBLE THROUGH EMAIL, PHONE, OR TEXT. SHE TAKES PRIDE IN WHAT SHE DOES. SHE HAS SEVERAL GIFTS OF KNOWING EXACTLY HOW TO ARRANGE DECOR AND FURNITURE. SHE HAS HAD LOTS OF EXPERIENCE DESIGNING PROFESSIONAL OFFICES, AND REESIDENTIAL HOMES. I WOULD RECOMMEND HER IN A MINUTE!

**★★★★★ — forejaco, Jan. 2015**

> We decided to embark upon a whole floor remodel, about 1,500 square feet. Rooms involved were a formal dining, formal living, entry way, kitchen, dining nook, family room, and two half-bathrooms. With this scale of a project, we didn’t want to leave the final look to “chance” which is why we decided to seek out a designer.
>
> Our largest hesitation in hiring a designer was whether the final look would match our tastes. We spent many hours admiring designs from all over the web. We had a decent idea of what we liked and didn’t like but were unsure how to incorporate it into our home. At the end of the day, we were worried that if we didn’t hire a designer we’d have another “cookie-cutter” home instead of something unique and beautiful.
>
> Our first meeting with Melissa was several hours of discussing what we liked/disliked, along with viewing several examples on the web. Melissa took a lot of time to understand our tastes, but also encouraged us to be open-minded. With our tastes in mind, as well as her own ideas from the look and feel of our home, Melissa went back and put together design boards for each room. Each board had a few options for overall layout, with recommended paint colors, flooring, décor, lighting, and much more. What we liked most was that we had pictures to see what each option would look like. This allowed us to see the space instead of having to close your eyes and visualize.
>
> Melissa’s design ideas were exactly what we were looking for. The first few boards did take us outside of our comfort zone but still incorporated our tastes. As the remaining boards were presented a few weeks later, we became MUCH more comfortable in the design elements and really started to see things differently. This is when we knew our decision to hire a professional designer was the right one. As the remodel went on, we began to see the spaces take shape and the final product turned out amazing and gets rave reviews from every person we show it to. What we love most is how our home flows from room to room. It’s very elegant, yet warm and inviting.
>
> Throughout the construction, nearly every subcontractor commented on how awesome the boards looked and also thoroughly appreciated having a “blueprint” to work from. Additionally, when we had questions during construction about what to do for the ceiling or the wainscot design, or a number of other items, we simply called Melissa who always made herself available to us and was happy to take part in helping us make a decision. Melissa’s dedication to the project and final look of our home did not stop at the delivery of the design boards.
>
> Looking back on this project we would not hesitate for one second on whether to hire Melissa again. She not only transformed our space to something straight out of a magazine, but also made our lives less stressful throughout the project. Melissa’s designs already narrowed down our selection of flooring, colors, furniture, lighting, décor, etc. When we were ready to determine furniture, we selected it from her recommendations on what would look best in our space. It was so nice to only have to make decisions from a recommended list of what’s going to look good, as opposed to all the options available out there. We really felt that any decision was a good one because of this.
>
> We’ve worked with a lot of businesses over the years and Melissa’s dedication to her clients is unmatched. She takes a lot of pride in her work and partnered with us to create something amazing that we will enjoy for years to come. Her ideas and eye for design is exceptional. When you combine Melissa’s professionalism, dedication, and talent, you really can’t go wrong with hiring her.

> I placed a specialty order with Red Sofa Company for a sofa that I had originally ordered locally, but the local vendor had sold the last one before it was even advertised for sale! When I inquired of the local vendor as to whether or not they could order another one for me, they told me that the sofa had been discontinued, and I was out of luck. It was the perfect sofa for my house, so I was crushed. I was then elated to discover Red Sofa Company, who researched the problem and determined, that in fact, last year's item had been discontinued, but I could order one from this year's model at the same price. I was elated that someone had taken the time to actually listen to what I wanted, and helped me to get it. Never before have I experienced such a high quality of service in a furniture vendor.
>
> Since it was a special order that took about 6 weeks to manufacture and deliver, Red Sofa Company went a step further, and kept me apprised all along the way as to what was happening with my order. They then went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied with my delivery!
>
> I would recommend this company over any other furniture vendor many times over for the excellent service they provided, and I truly got what I wanted. They are exceptional to work with.

> We were so pleased to work with Melissa during our design project. She had innovative design ideas that made our home unique and beautiful. I loved the design board ideas she presented. This plan guided our decisions and helped make things manageable. She is very knowledgeable in current design trends and freely shares those ideas. She is organized and prompt in responding to any questions. We look forward to having many more projects with her in the future.

> She has an incredible eye for design. I had her interior design my entire office at time of construction. 5 years latter I am still getting patients making comments on how incredible looking my office is. Best spent money!

> I am so glad I found Melissa and The Red Sofa Company! I live close to 800 miles away from The Red Sofa Company - I also live in ND where prices are high and inventory is low due to the oil boom, I couldn't find anything I wanted. I found something I liked and Melissa went above and beyond to find the vendor - she then went above and beyond in working with them to get the furniture I wanted. I purchased living room and dining room furniture from her I placed my order and was in no hurry, although excited. I had something come up and needed my furniture ASAP, Melissa worked with the shippers and it was received as requested.
>
> I would highly recommend purchasing through Melissa; her customer service is nothing like I've ever experienced, she is very knowledgeable and creative in her work and she was great to work with!

**★★★★★ — Christy Taylor, March 2013**

> Melissa from Red Sofa Company, sewed and installed curtains for my living room. She was great to let me do as much as I wanted to in the whole process, and happy to do the leg work for me when I couldn't. She was very respectful of my financial concerns. She also helped me pick out and order furniture and decor for the same room. She has been great to work with and I plan on using her again in the future.

  - Location: Not specified

  - Description: This space opens up to the living room area, so both spaces need to coordinate. The one way I did this was tie in the same matching rugs and coordinate the drapery fabrics. I wanted to add elegant long drapes to the living area, but added a two fabric combo valance to dress up the sliding door area nook in the dining space. The rugs are bright and cheerful and add punch of color. I also like the two finishes in the cabinetry, giving the option to mix and match woods in other furniture pieces, su…

  - Description: Beautiful home in Pocatello, Idaho, I used a transitional style bringing in Coral/Red fabrics and rugs with blue and tan walls, giving variation in paint colors to the space. It has a beautiful arch that separates the kitchen and the living space that adds architecture and design element to the space. Also, we didn't focus the furniture towards the TV. We wanted to make it more of a conversational area where everyone can view the television where they are seated and also open up the space and ma…

  - Description: This was a fun Master bedroom, because it is my own. Of course, I have to use the color Red, but I find that it acts as a great accent color. I went with a more of a denim blue and had pictures taken of my husband and I to decorate with. This is a great space for him and I to relax. We both couldn't agree on a chandelier and fan, we wanted both. So, I designed our night stand lighting using these chandeliers and we had our electrician put light switches with dimmers on each side so we could adju…

  - Description: This was such a fun project to design. Dr. Ryan and Lisa Hillam were great to work with and let me design to the fullest. They really appreciated the design boards which were displayed in every room, providing all their contractors an idea of a visual for each room. This fun office has an inviting waiting room when you walk in and then it has a fun Theater Room off of the waiting room where their patients can enjoy watching movies, while waiting. Each room has it's own design, which makes it fun…

  - Description: Designing a different wainscoting was a fun way to bring in the living room ceiling design. Melissa was inspired by a fabric that I saw when shopping for window treatments and she knew this would bring such a great design to the dining and the living room space that would bring the "wow" factor to the home. Melissa kept the traditional ceiling design and added paint elements to have the ceiling design pop out. The drapes were custom made by Melissa and installed and hung by her as well. The fabr…
