Any suggestions how to finish this? A: With wood cabinets that get paint it is very easy to apply a false front, patch and paint the area. This should be an easy fix for you. We are basing this suggestion on the thought that you are using existing painted cabinets and repainting them as well. The guys said they extended the tile behind the fridge because the cuts were too small to finish at the end of counter. I think it looks odd. Why wouldn't they have started at the counter edge and worked their way to the corner? Please help! They're supposed to grout tomorrow and I'm not happy with this at all. A: Very Nice tile and stone combination. If you would like to have the tile added above and below the tile shown to fill in the blank wall behind the fridge it would be an easy accommodation on the part of the installer. Glass tile is very difficult to grout. be sure to have the grout fill 100% of the space between the tiles all the way back to the wall. Not filling the grout completely will result in black lines as you see through the tile into the dark cavities of the unfilled sections. Love the combo... **Q: Ruined tile** *(in Design Dilemma)* I think our tile has been ruined by absorbing the grout color any body have a similar experience A: Excellent! **Q: Can I make these hinges soft-close?** *(in Kitchens)* Our new cabinets were delivered today (new construction home) and we did not upgrade the hinges to soft-close because the builder was charging a huge premium. We definitely want to make the doors soft-close...don't need soft-close on the drawers. Is there a little insert/piece I can attach to them or do I need entirely new hinges? I'm not sure what brand they are but could probably email the manufacturer (Huntwood) and find out if needed. Sorry the photo is not great...it was the only cabinet hinge that was exposed enough to photograph since they're still in cardboard. It looks like maybe there's a logo or something on the upper left?? A: You can replace the hinges no problem.
