> We worked with Seavey builders Inc. for our new construction of a custom home in SW Rochester.   Dan and Brenda Seavey are a fantastic team and were a pleasure to work with.   Dan projected our home would take 12-18 months to complete.  We broke ground in December 2015 and were moved in by February 2017, 14 months.  The project was within budget.  There were many things we appreciated about Seavey Builders Inc.  Dan was onsite daily, and we appreciated his careful attention to detail on a daily basis.  The craftsmanship is excellent.  His team kept the home clean during the entire building process.  Dan and Brenda were always easily accessible and answered calls and emails promptly.   We would highly recommend Seavey Builders Inc.  We love our new home.

> We have all heard “You dream it, we will build it”. With Seavey Builders you can dream in black and white and they will build a colorful, beautiful home by the time you finish dreaming. At least that is what we felt.

> Having built a few times prior to this we had already through this entire process before. This time we decided to contact six of the best builders in town and discussed our project with them. Seavey Builders was among them because their homes were among those that stood out when we looked at the houses of our friends in last few years. Soon it became very clear that Seavey builders will not only deliver the finest product for what we were spending but will get us there in a timely fashion. From the very beginning, we knew we had made the right choice. Seavey Builder’s knowledge and attention to detail was clear at the every step of the way. We found that everyone at Seavey Builders believe that only the finest craftsmanship and best business ethics are acceptable. We researched many home designs and toured many homes before we built and as a result, our home had many custom details and complex features. Seavey Builders had no trouble in making these happen. They framed the house, did the finish carpentry and wood work themselves, which are the key parts of any home construction. Dan always had the best solutions for us when aesthetics, structural integrity or functional aspects were at odds with each other. He would always take time to explain and discuss what had occurred during the day and answered all of our questions promptly.  We cannot appreciate and thank Brenda enough for seamless business transactions and electronic communications. We always felt as if we were their number one customer. All the subcontractors were great to work with, highly professional and friendly. They all held Seavy Builders in high esteem and were there at work site in a timely fashion.

> Dan Seavey is a great builder.  Our project was a particularly complex build.  He managed to stay on top of it, and was very comfortable working with our architect throughout the project.  He closely oversaw our project from start to finish.  He truly "measures twice, cuts once".  One does not need to second guess his decisions, recommendations, or reservations.  He freely admits that he loves to build.  He stands behind his projects.  We would be happy to build with him again.

> We had a very good experience building with Dan Seavey.  Unlike many builders in our area, Dan was personally present and active on the job site essentially every day (he built our home rather than just serving as an intermediary with a construction crew).  This meant a lot to us.

> We were single digit percentage over budget on a large project that involved creating a building site in a rural area (no road, electricity, etc). The largest part of this was increased excavation costs; these were not avoidable and based upon the site we chose for the home (Dan had nothing to do with this).  The other departures from budget were really for unforseen items or things we changed along the way.  Friends who have built similar homes had a very different experience.

What brand & model is the toilet and sink? I have looked extensively on the TOTO website and cannot find anything that looks like this toilet.  Help! :)

A: I checked with the homeowner to make sure I was passing on the correct information.  Her reply was "the toilet is Toto Mercer and the sink is Toto Promenade."  She suspects the Mercer is discontinued.  Thank you for you interest!
