### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Stewart Family, Jan. 2023**

> Chuck and his team managed all aspects of our kitchen renovation last year. We worked with him over the course of January to September to update our kitchen, breakfast area and butler's pantry. Chuck and team took copious photos of the space, reviewed our design inspiration / listened to our ideas and prepared sketches of what each space could become. Once we settled on the broad design, Chuck helped us find the right contractor to complete the task. Chuck's team helped manage all aspects of the contract negotiation and multiple pages of comprehensive checklists to keep everyone on the same page. Chuck then helped us fine tune all the smaller details - syncing us up with vendors for the stone, woodwork, fixtures and appliances. Chuck's professionalism and attention to detail are unmatched. He and his team made themselves available at all times for us, helped us make structural and design decisions that were out of our comfort zone and, overall, guided us through what can be a daunting process. This project was our first "major" renovation in our new home (our first home) and we could not imagine having worked with anyone other than Chuck Hilton Architects.

**★★★★★ — HU-378656482, Dec. 2019**

> Chuck and his team were such a pleasure to work with on the renovation of our Georgian home. We wanted to update the living spaces to be more modern and functional while preserving the style and spirit of the house and Chuck and his team worked tirelessly to achieve this vision. They were thorough and meticulous throughout the entire design and planning process until the project’s completion. As with many old homes, many quirky issues arose but Chuck was quick to deliver creative solutions that looked effortless in matching the character of the house. Their calm, confident and patient manner ensured that the renovations were as stress free as possible. We are so thrilled with the beautiful outcome of our home in many thanks to Chuck and his team.

**★★★★★ — Vickie & Greg McLaughlin, Nov. 2018**

> We hired Chuck in 2014 and worked with him and his staff for the next three years. We were building an “in town” home as we downsized from the old family house. The professionalism and attention to detail was unsurpassed. They measured every inch of the old house and determined what was important for us to replicate in the new home. They helped us through hiring the builder, oversaw the project and were present at every meeting with subs, contractors, engineers and suppliers. They took as much ownership of the home as we did. They have stayed involved as project manager through 2018, a year after we moved in.
> Building a new home is a very consuming, and at times, harrowing project. We were supported by Chuck and his team in every detail. You will not fined a better team to oversee your project.

**★★★★★ — William Flynn, Dec. 2017**

> Working with Chuck and his team is a pleasure. The architectural plans provided are always concise and include all necessary details. His office and staff are truly professionals. Their respect for traditional architecture is second to none. At the same time, they are always open to new ideas, and new products and innovations that can make a project unique.

**★★★★★ — Robert Zmarzlak, Nov. 2017**

> I have worked on projects with Chuck Hilton for over 25 years on a regular basis. It is always a pleasure to work with Chuck and the Architects in his firm. Their strong attention to detail and strong commitment to achieve the Highest Quality Finished Product for their clients are the firms most important assets.

**★★★★★ — Mark Maloney, Nov. 2017**

> I had the pleasure of working with Chuck and his team recently to help visualize, create and execute on my clients dream of having a local foundation office in Connecticut. From the inception meeting, Chuck listened carefully, considered what the client was requesting, and masterfully designed exactly what they were looking for. I've worked with a lot of architects over the past twenty five years, and i can confidently say, there is no experience like working with Charles Hilton Architects. They epitomize the word "Professional"

**★★★★★ — O@gind, Oct. 2017**

> I have had the pleasure of working with Chuck on a large number of prestigious projects in both FAIRFIELD &WESTCHESTER counties. As a sales representative from O&G industries where we fabricator and import all varieties of natural stone and also distributor of clay brick products its very important to have a professional such as Chuck to ensure a successful project. There's a reason why Chuck is regarded to be in rarified air as an architect .

**★★★★★ — Sean OBrien, Oct. 2017**

> I have worked with Charles Hilton on about 20 different projects over the past 10 years, providing consulting on roofing, waterproofing, and related building envelope issues. He and his team are absolutely top-notch when it comes to attention to detail, and their drawings are among the most complete and comprehensive that I have seen. They consistently go above and beyond to make sure that their projects are not only aesthetically superior but also practical and durable. They deliver outstanding value to their clients, and I always welcome the opportunity to work with them since I know they will deliver a successful project.

**★★★★★ — James Doyle, Aug. 2017**

> Chuck and I have collaborated on a number of projects over the years. His attention to detail always amazes and he has a wonderful manner with all of his clients. Chuck makes any collaboration easy.

**Comment from Charles Hilton Architects:**

> Thanks James. We have enjoyed working with your firm very much.

**★★★★★ — Audio Video Systems, Inc., July 2017**

> As a home technology professional AVS has had the pleasure of working Chuck on several projects over the years including a currently completing job. The attention to detail, level of expertise and the focus on client satisfaction is exhibited in every facet of their projects. Chuck, Daniel, David and Meredith have been an absolute pleasure to work from concept to completion. AVS is always delighted to be a team member on their jobs, which are some of the highest quality projects with the best client relationships. We look forward to working with Chuck’s firm on many more projects to come.

**Comment from Charles Hilton Architects:**

> Thank you. It has been a pleasure to work with AVS over the years.

**★★★★★ — Sister Gesuina Gencarelli, March 2017**

> I am happy to provide the highest recommendation for Charles Hilton Architects. Chuck Hilton and his firm successfully undertook the construction of a 5,000+ sq. addition to our existing campus in a particularly difficult location. Nonetheless, Mr. Hilton designed a magnificent building, seamlessly blending beauty and function. The building was conceived as a multi-purpose addition and can accommodate children's physical activities, concerts and theater as well as meeting space.
> Our project went out to bid in June 2015 and was completed in November 2016 at a cost of $4.8MM on time and within budget. Mr. Hilton consulted with me and the rest of our staff before the design phase, assuring that all of our needs for the building were being met. The entire process was proactive, comprehensive and very collaborative. The firm considered future maintenance and durability in the design so that the building, once constructed, would be virtually trouble-free for many years.
> We cannot say enough about the professionalism and demonstrated ethics of Mr. Hilton and his entire team. They were extremely knowledgeable with respect to reputable contractors, third-party providers of materials and state/local requirements. Should we have the need for architectural design and project management again, we will immediately retain Charles Hilton Architects to do the work. We are that satisfied with them and their work.

**Comment from Charles Hilton Architects:**

> Thank you Sister. We are so pleased that the addition is serving so many of the needs of the Convent and School.

**★★★★★ — nycmommy, Dec. 2016**

> We hired Charles to design our new home. He met all of our requests with regard to function and practicality for our young family. He surpassed our expectations with regards to design. Charles and his team are beyond talented, super professional and we feel so fortunate to have this opportunity to work with them.

**Comment from Charles Hilton Architects:**

> Thank you for the nice review. We are so happy that you love the design.

  - Description: Montecito, California The design of this Montecito waterfront retreat emanated from a client’s purchase of a condominium unit in a mid-1960’s complex that would serve as a west coast counterpart to their traditional east coast home. Careful planning and design allowed this project to successfully meet the client’s goal of providing a relaxing transitional living environment. Constructed in the 1960’s, the condominium needed to be completely renovated in order to provide the family with the moder…

  - Description: Stamford, Connecticut A 1920s Center Hall Colonial that sits along a busy thoroughfare in Stamford, Connecticut, was purchased in the mid-1950’s for use as a convent. Years of insensitive renovations left the building lacking both character and cohesiveness. A sizable donation enabled the nuns of the convent to pursue a much-needed renovation of the entire residence.
