This builder has taste and uses beautiful materials. We saw it from studs to finished and they do not skimp and cut corners. It was a home in an existing neighborhood - a tiny cape cod with 70s style insides even though it was a 50s home. It was a huge reno. They added a second floor so it went from 1,100 square feet to 2,500. > > Everything is so nice. The reclaimed, wide plank hardwood floors are gorgeous. The windows are the tilt kind that are easy to clean and filter out a ton of noise. Wood shelving instead of wire shelving in all the closets, gorgeous kitchen, lovely barn doors for my office, amazing master bath with ship lap and the most incredible shower tiling in all the bathrooms. They were so accommodating with requests. I can't even begin to detail all the nice amenities. I visited other homes in this price point and no other home was as well appointed and even the new construction we saw didn't come close to the tasteful design created in this home. > > Keep in mind that city permits and weather causes delays so be patient. They are good on their word. You will be delighted with the final product. I would like the details on if it is wood and where to find it to purchase. A: Hi Michelle! These floors are from Surface Architectural Supply in Richmond, VA. They are reclaimed wood. I also like the detail of the black bracing on the overhang which ties the look together. Any info on how to achieve this look would be appreciated. A: Hi There! The counters are reclaimed oak. The brackets underneath are L Shaped wall brackets in a black metal finish. This idea for this house was modern farmhouse style which meant a lot of white, natural wood, and clean lined wrought iron. If you want to achieve this look start with a white base for your space and add in wood textures where you can. If you can't replace a whole counter try incorporating pieces like wooden bowls on the counters or wood topped jars. If the wrought iron pieces are above the budget (because they can get expensive) try swapping them out for a black aluminum. Hope this helps! **Q: Gooseneck lights!** *(in Photo Questions)* Love em. What size diameter are they? Where did you purchase? What is the finish? A: Hi there! The goose neck lights are from Rejuvenation - purchased a year ago though so not sure if they are still available. There is a very similar type on there currently that are still available.
