My name is Christian Usera and I'm an abstract artist. I've lived in five states and abroad in Madrid, Spain and Sofia, Bulgaria. I've been painting for over ten years. My work has been featured in The Huffington Post, Northern Virginia Magazine, the Westward, and Societe Perrier. In 2010, I was a speaker at "Marassa 10" an event celebrating Caribbean artists and writers. The event was sponsored by Kamau Brathwaite, a world renowned poet and New York University. In 2012 I was chosen to take part in CORE Gallery's juried "Spirituality" art show. The following year I (along with 21 other artists) was commissioned by the Warhol Foundation to create a painting celebrating Warhol's iconic "Banana" painting. I currently reside in the Toledo, OH area, but can ship my work to anywhere in the US and beyond! I Found it vibrant, and full of warm colors. More Importantly, it carries an interesting and powerful cultural significance both personally and in the world at large. I also found that the artist's work in general carries strong religious and faithful overtones, as well as, a unique artistic voice and style. I am very happy with my purchase. **★★★★★ — Michael J. Moore, July 2014** > Christian, was hired, by my design firm, www.mjmdesigngroup.com after an inquiry from an e-mail we received. The piece was about to be shown, in a gallery. I actually fell in love with the piece, called, "Dog Days." I have to say I was more thrilled, once it arrived in person! I am always looking for new and up-coming artists. We get dozens a day. This is the first time, in over 40 years of being a designer, I purchased, without actually seeing the piece, in person first. > Christian is a consummate professional. He answered any and all questions and promptly sent all of the paperwork, to validate the piece as well. > I can't wait to commission a large piece for future clients. BTW, I am keeping this one for my studio. It's no longer for sale. Art has to move me and then the artist did too. I couldn't of asked for a better transaction! > Michael Moore > Designer/Principal **★★★★★ — David Namer, July 2014** > My wife and I commissioned this artist to paint a portrait for our baby's room. The painting was delivered to our home and came out great with no issues. We chose the painting, "Woman 2," from the artist's selection. It's bright, and beautiful and looks great in the nursery. Looking forward to having another piece from his collection. > > Thank you, CNU! > > https://www.facebook.com/christian.usera?fref=ts ## Selected projects - [Client's Bedroom](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/client-s-bedroom-pj-vj~598499) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 3 - [Sold Commission Pieces](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/sold-commission-pieces-pj-vj~598550) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 5 - [Archangel Series](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/archangel-series-pj-vj~598482) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - [Formless Form](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/formless-form-pj-vj~598662) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 7 [See all 4 projects](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/artists-and-artisans/cnutheartist-pfvwus-pf~93303297) --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
