Construction to remodel and add a 2nd story addition to our home in San Carlos and it was a great decision! Ken and his crew exhibit true professionalism. They were all kind, courteous, respectful and on time! He not only kept us within our budget, but also kept within his timeframe. They were efficient and fast without compromising quality or detail. We ran into a few design hurdles, which is normal, and Ken was quick to offer solutions. Throughout the whole process we only had one major surprise, unrelated to Ken, which is great for a whole house remodel and 2nd story addition. I might also note, that I am an interior designer and we chose to hire him after we had worked on a few other projects together that also turned out beautifully. I work with a lot of contractors and Ken is definitely one of my go to guys. KS Construction finished the remodel on schedule and on budget and worked really well with our architect and other vendors. Ken's crew was respectful and thoughtful - always trying to complete the work in a manner that least impacted our family as we lived through a remodel. Ken brings a unique talent for a general contractor in that he has the eye of a designer. His suggestions for changes and design details prevented me from making many costly mistakes. He impressed me with being extremely fast to respond to any issue I had - even coming over on weekends and getting involved in a supply issue that was not his, but mine. He has extremely high standards for workmanship and does not permit any of his subcontractors to perform work that is anything but perfect. Ken has a great relationship with local suppliers and he can always find you a discount. Construction to do an extensive kitchen and great room addition for our home in San Mateo. Ken and his team were very professional in all aspects of the remodel. Ken provided a detailed scope of the work for our review and as the process went along he was careful to listen to and address any of our concerns. He anticipated future problems which could have resulted in increased costs and project delays. He stayed within the budget and the deadline parameters. Ken and his team provided high quality and creative workmanship. When we moved 5 years later we didn't hesitate to call Ken again when we wanted to remodel the kitchen and great room in our new house in Belmont.
