**★★★★★ — Nancy Smith, Oct. 2023**

> I was very pleased with the work on my house in this second remodel, especially given the unexpected death of my husband, multiple changes his death precipitated, and my emotionally and physically exhausted state.
>
> I did want to commend multiple Christiansen personnel who were particularly helpful, creative at problem solving, expert craftsmen, and patient with an often not entirely "together" client.
>
> Jon (yourself): Top of the list. You were exactly the responsible, creative, and "responsive" manager I expected, especially given the challenging supply issues, sub availability issues, change orders, and my Gavin issues. Patient and kind to a troubled "little old lady"--much appreciated.
>
> Jerry: extremely responsive, expert craftsman, concerned about finding everything that needed fixing and seeing that it did get fixed. In addition to his expert carpentry, demolition, and construction on the big items (deck, gazebo, siding, bath carpentry), he did lots of fix up and clean up which was greatly appreciated by me who couldn't manage either mentally or physically , e.g. filling in water-filled pathway and foundation holes, getting every rodent-chewed wire fixed, patching holes in house and shop. Patient and kind--helped a lot.
>
> Dennis: responsive, creative and expert craftsman dealing with "pigs ears" existing cabinetry. He was also extra helpful with getting audio/video equipment re-installed and working. Also very patient and kind--helped a lot.
>
> Thanks again for your help over both projects.
>
> Have a good fall and winter season and holidays.

> If you’re looking for a top notch contractor who will work with you, listen to your ideas offer alternatives, and deliver a quality product on time and on budget, call G. Christianson Construction Inc. (GCCI). They created a beautiful entertainment center for our new home. They worked with our original (and very rough!) sketch and tweaked and adjusted it until we found the perfect design. Using that design, the skilled craftsmen at the GCCI cabinet shop created a stunning black walnut entertainment center. To top off our experience with GCCI, an amazing installation crew spent four days in our home as they expertly finished our unit. All three men who made up the installation crew treated our home as if it were their own. Their clean up at the end of every day assured we would not be tripping over blocks of wood or spreading saw dust all over the house..
>
> A big thank you to the design team of Elizabeth (designer) and Ron (cabinet shop manager), to the construction team at the cabinet shop and to the installation team of Dennis, Robbie and Theo.
>
> We can, with the utmost confidence, recommend G. Christianson Construction Inc. (www.gchristiansonconstructioninc.com) for any remodel or custom cabinetry project!
>
> Thanks G Christianson Construction Inc

> They cared about our vision on our new home and went the extra mile to meet our expectations. They built our house in 2017 and have been standing behind their work, even years later.

**Comment from G. Christianson Construction, Inc.:**

> Thanks Kwarshinta! The home you designed is beautiful and amazing, and we're super proud to have built it. We've been standing behind all of our work since 1986. - Tanner Wood, Superintendent

**★★★★★ — Carol Tremblay, Jan. 2023**

> We engaged G. Christianson Construction to remodel our kitchen and replace siding and windows. In all tasks, they did an excellent job. The kitchen looks amazing. Tanner Wood was in charge of our project. He was always congenial, responsive and easy to work with. Sarah Maisel was our designer and provided alternate design plans, materials samples, and advice along the way. Ron Fishback and his shop built beautiful custom cabinets in cherry. Overall there is a sense of integrity and professionalism.

**★★★★★ — Mary Johnson, May 2022**

> Attention to detail, integrity, and a fantastic crew made our remodel so much easier. From the first through the last meeting, our team's guidance and care were greatly appreciated and helped us create the kitchen addition of our dreams. We would not hesitate to come back with another project.

**★★★★★ — HU-110240430, Oct. 2020**

> We worked with G. Christianson on a pretty major kitchen remodel, and the whole project went wonderfully from start to finish. They helped us develop our vision for the new kitchen into a concrete set of plans, and they worked with us to keep the project within our budget. As construction progressed, they were communicative and responsive. We really appreciated the weekly meetings they held with us, where they updated us on their progress and consulted with us about any changes we needed to make to our original plan due to unforeseen quirks in our mid-century house. In the end, the work is solid and beautiful, and our new kitchen is a joy to cook and bake in.
>
> We really appreciated the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and deep knowledge of the whole G. Christianson team. We felt like we were in good hands the whole time we worked with them. Just as importantly, everyone we interacted with during the project was friendly and professional, from Carl, the owner, to Anna, the designer we worked with, to Ben and the G. Christianson crew, to all of the subcontractors they brought in, and everyone else. We wouldn't hesitate to work with G. Christianson again if we ever have more remodeling work to do, and we highly recommend them.

> I have been associated with G. Christianson Construction Inc. since 2005 as a licensed sub-contractor (Signature Construction ccb\# 96629). Greg Christianson approached me in 2005 and wanted to know if I was interested in doing the finish work for his projects. I’m proud to say that the relationship has lasted for 14 years, both with Greg and his son, Carl, who now runs the business. I’ve lost count of the number of projects I worked on with GCCI. But whatever the number is, there isn’t one that I walked away from at the end of the job and felt like it was done poorly. I was always given the time and resources to do the job the way I felt it should be done. The only reason our relationship is ending is because I’ve decided to move from Corvallis (family reasons). Over the past several years Carl has grown the company considerably and has assembled a very competent team of people who can get the job done. I feel a sense of sadness as I leave this great group of people who have become a major part of my life, but life goes on. I would never hesitate to recommend GCCI, even if I was no longer part of the team.

**Comment from G. Christianson Construction, Inc.:**

> Thank you Stephen, we are going to miss you, your attention to detail and your fine craftsmanship. I wish you the best in Arizona!
> Thanks,
> \- Carl

In addition to seeking out a contractor with experience and a reputation for quality, Shinta and Taifo were also interested in an energy efficient home. We have a 30+ year passion for efficient homes. At minimum, our homes are built well above energy code standards. Our owner, Carl, and designer, Anna, initially spoke to these clients about only refacing the cabinets due to a failing paint finish. During the first meetings with the clients, our team identified that there were many possible improvements that would far outweigh replacing only the cabinet doors. The new kitchen design improves upon the original layout with taller cabinets that reach to the ceiling for incr…

 - Description: A North Albany family contacted us wanting to expand, update, and open up their Kitchen to the Family Room. The floor plan of this home actually had plenty of space but it wasn’t being well-utilized, with angled walls in the pantry and a corner kitchen and island layout. By removing the double-sided fireplace and built-in bookcases closing off the Family Room, removing the closed-off bar area, and re-imagining the awkward walk-in pantry and kitchen layout, our Designer, Sarah envisioned an expan…

From the unique lighting, retro architectural details, and view of the cascades, this home was full of potential to be remodeled to fit the lifestyle and personality of it’s new owners. - Description: These clients originally reached out to G. Christianson to build the shell for an 8 foot expansion of their Kitchen and Living Room, but due to frustration managing subcontractors, they choose us to manage the entire project. - Location: Corvallis, OR
 - Photos: 8
 - Description: This dreamy bathroom transformation involved very minimal layout changes to create a soothing spa experience right at home. The former materials in this bathroom were dark and heavy and a large tub deck created cramped, unproductive spaces. The remodel resulted in a bright, modernized spa-like master bathroom with brass fixtures and a Western Red Cedar tongue & groove wood ceiling that evokes the feel of being inside a sauna. Our designer, Anna, put a contemporary spin on this spa with the hexag…

These homeowners downsized from their previous home located on the outskirts of Corvallis, into this smaller one-story home in town and wanted to make this new home meet their forever needs. The Kitchen has a large stove/oven, two sinks, two dishwashers, and a huge island with a minimally obstructed countertop. This home was built to have nearly passive house energy efficiency, so it uses close to 70% less energy than a code built home. - Location: Corvallis, OR
 - Photos: 17
 - Description: This 1930's small kitchen was in need of expansion. It was closed off to the rest of the house and didn't fit with the modern appliances. Removing a wall and extending the kitchen into the next room created an inviting space open to the dining and family room. Replacing the white painted cabinets with natural white oak custom cabinets gave it a contemporary look with classic touches of marble patterned quartz and handmade subway tile backsplash. The open shelving keeps everyday dishes within eas…

They knew they needed more space with a Kitchen that had a large island, and materials that could support their baking needs with minimal maintenance. We added 600 square feet onto the back of the house to create a larger Kitchen on the main level and a larger Primary Bedroom and Closet in the daylight basement. This allowed ample space to install a 48-inch range with 54-inch hood,…

Cynthia originally wasn't certain about the style of cabinetry, but had suggested using their 100-year old hutch that had been passed down through generations as inspiration. When our Designer, Elizabeth, and Master Cabinetmaker, Ron, saw the antique hutch in the clients' home for the first time, they knew that the new built-ins had to be designed after this beautiful piece. They were drawn to vibrant and contrasting features, and liked elements of their previous Traditional-styled home but were excited about incorporating modern components while keeping functionality at the forefront of the design. ## Community Q&A

**Q: what is the tile in the kitchen?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Beautiful remodel!

A: We used Winchester Sedge 5x5 for the backsplash with Laticrete Kashmir color grout.

**Q: please let me know manufacturers for railing?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Looking to put in a similar railing and my builder having trouble locating. This is perfect! Thx

A: You have to special request to add a “C” channel under the railing to provide a space for the LED tape lights to fit if you want to have a down light on your cable.

**Q: wood, finish, and countertop?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I love the spa-like feel of the wood and dark countertop. Could you please tell me what type of wood and what finish? What is the countertop material?

A: Hi Laura - The Vanity wood species is Cherry with a clear finish, and the countertop is a cement countertop from a local company, Cement Elegance. The finish is "charcoal".

**Q: Tell me about the mirror** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is the mirror available for purchase?

A: Sorry, it's not. We had our cabinet maker build the wood mirror frame to match the vanity design. If you can't find someone to build one, we could probably make one and ship it to you, but it would be expensive.

**Q: Cabinet hardware** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you tell me where you got this beautiful hardware on the cabinets? Thank you.

A: The cabinet pulls in this Bathroom are Liberty Hardware \#PN8005-SAM-A Mission 4-1/4" Center Drop Cabinet Pull. The clients sourced these pulls by visiting one of our local furniture stores, Wood Castle, and selected these pulls based on a Cherry furniture piece the store had made!

**Q: Can I use your image on my blog page? Thanks** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can I use your image on my blog page? Thanks
