From the onset, I communicated my vision and preferences clearly, emphasizing my openness to a variety of color palettes and design concepts. In short, we were billed thousands of dollars for nothing of use. It is deeply frustrating and disheartening. > > The initial design options presented were predominantly blue, despite the inclusion of various colors on my inspiration board and the fact I never ever said blue is the only color we wanted for our kitchen. The overall vibe of the first round felt overly masculine, and significant time was allocated to redesigning the layout, despite our satisfaction with the existing layout and openness to change only if it made a substantial improvement. Unfortunately, the interior design team failed to inquire about crucial details such as plumbing relocation, resulting in wasted time and resources. > > It's like there was no check in to ensure the direction was on the right track before spending hours upon hours of billable time with options that weren't remotely "us." It felt like there was a disconnect between the vibes, aesthetically-speaking, and what was presented in the initial design. The 2nd round was still only blue. I truly don't understand why we were kept so limited in color palette. > > Additionally, the swift expenditure of 80% of our budget on designs that did not resonate with our preferences was concerning. While the communication was prompt, the lack of understanding of our style preferences and the limited variety in color options from the start cost us both time and money. Despite Casey's claims that we were "so close" to an end result, the reality was that none of the colors and styles in combination presented aligned with our vision, making it impossible to justify further expenditures to reach a satisfactory outcome. There's no world in which we wouldn't have spent at least thousands more to get to an end result. For that reason, we decided to cut ties upon seeing the most recent bill. I was honestly shocked when we saw how much time the project had already used up. > > While a 20% discount on the final bill was offered, it does little to address the fundamental issues surrounding communication, understanding of preferences, and the quality of the design process. Our deep disappointment stems from the lack of accountability and the failure to deliver results that align with our vision and expectations. > > My experience with Casey Howard Interior Design fell wildly short of expectations and I cannot recommend their services based on the issues encountered throughout the project. **Comment from Casey Howard Interior Design:** > Thank you for taking the time to write a review.
