Most people enjoy this process. I do not. I wasn't sure what I wanted and, therefore, didn't think I could clearly articulate my taste and preferences. > I met with Hilary and Valerie a couple of times. Somehow during those meetings they were able to glean enough info from me to make a presentation. Still apprehensive, I was amazed and delighted when they showed me their ideas. It was obvious they had put a tremendous amount of thought and effort into my project. They had produced boards showing room layouts, furniture arrangements, fabrics, materials and an incredible color palette. Somehow they managed to hit the nail right on the head in determining what I liked from the broad picture down to the smallest detail. Any questions I had were answered satisfactorily explaining the rationale behind the specific selection. If a particular item was beyond my budget they found a comparable replacement at my price point. They coordinated all construction work and arranged all deliveries making sure they were received in perfect condition or returned if they were not. In other words I didn't have to be concerned with any aspect of the project which was one of my main goals. Hilary and Valerie exceeded my expectations. We "floated" three base cabinets from Ronbow, 2 15 inch side cabinets, and one 24" center cabinets. We then added an under-mount sink and faucet from Kohler, Purity faucet. The counter "wrap" is of Cesarstone. Grey Piatra in 1 1/4". While I won't quote an exact price, the overall effect was rich and elegant, while remaining very affordable. This one is from Porcelanosa Westbury, Long Island. Could you please provide me information about the band of accent tile? From the pic, it is difficult to tell what it is. Also, is the tile on the floor the same as the tile on the walls? A: Thank you for your compliment. Also, we left about a foot of wall above the tile. It enables a shift of color in years to come. The furniture is also designed to accommodate impactful accessories that can change on a whim! We also added a 3/8" strip of polished chrome above, it gives just a hint of shine.
