Also looking for the comfort height which I guess means taller than the old ones. A: Hi, sorry for the delay answering. Did not see that i had a question. The toilet mfg. is Danze "Zig Zaga DCO31321 **Q: Please help me finish my kitchen** *(in Design Dilemma)* We are in the final stretch of our extreme makeover, which is a quite a feat for someone with absolutely no design sense. That said, I'm really loving all of my individual choices. This gorgeous quartzite was just installed last night, and while I am still madly in love with it, it's a little more green (and less beigey-blue) than I thought. My final decision is what to do with the sink wall in terms of backsplash and paint color. The current color (SW Olympus White) is present throughout the house (it's an open concept), I love it, and it would be a pain and expense to repaint everything. So ideally if I repaint this wall, it will help tie together the hypothetical backsplash and other walls. Here's a picture of the kitchen in its current state A: Not on subject but no exhaust ventilation over the open burner range? **Q: Need help! A: It's Winston Churchill who said "He who fails to plan is planning to fail" Every tile project large or small must have a tile installation drawing that has at the very least a plan view, elevation and sections. This set of documents is approved by the owner and prevents the issues of this discussion. **Q: Can you tell me about the floors?** *(in Photo Questions)* Thanks! A: Here is a great flooring Mfg. that we are using now. http://duchateaufloors.com **Q: What is the countertop made of?** *(in Photo Questions)* Looks almost like concrete, but not sure. Also, how stainproof is it? A: The counter top material is from Qortstone.com.... I don't recall the color. Qortstone is a quartz material and I would guess if honed would be fine for a stair tread / riser application. **Q: Alignment of Windows question** *(in Design Dilemma)* We are in the midst of starting a major remodel and have a window size issue. Attached is a picture of one of our bedrooms. (We used a fisheye lens so it's not proportional.) All 3 windows will be double hung - the 2 in the front (right) and the left (which is on a side of the house). This window on the side will be a 38 1/2" (w) x 56 1/4" (h) for egress. My question: is it better to: a. have the top casing line for all 3 windows be level on the same line (which would mean the window sills wouldn't be on the same line) or b. for the window sills to be on the same line (which would mean the top casing line wouldn't be on the same line)? Thanks. A: You could very quickly draw a 3D rendering of your interior with windows using Google Sketchup. Or have someone you know draw it for you. This allows you to see not only the interior but by turning the drawing looking at it from outside. You can view the drawing from a vantage point that would duplicate your view of the room.
