> We collaborated with Jenn from J.THOM during our renovation and we were able to transform our newly purchased house into our dream home! Being new to completing a project of this scale, our top priority was to find a designer who would listen and provide honest transparency throughout the entire process. Jenn’s level of engagement was outstanding and we were extremely appreciative of Jenn’s ability to continuously improve (esthetically and practically) on the original plans while staying within budget. Jenn’s constant communication and willingness to be onsite made it easy for our family to spend the majority of the renovation overseas. Jenn was present for every delivery and made certain that everything was made to perfection. Having somebody we could trust and know had our best interest in mind was critical to the overall success. We returned home to something far beyond our expectations. With plans to renovate other areas of our home in the future, we looking forward to working with Jenn and J. Thom again!

> Jason and his team did a phenomenal job redesigning our kitchen. We originally approached JThom to update our current layout. The team offered us an option that completely transformed how we use entire our first floor, creating a true open plan and making our beautiful new kitchen the centerpiece of our home. Whenever people see our new kitchen for the first time, the response is always the same: “Wow.” We were extremely happy with the designs, insight, responsiveness, and fresh thinking that Jason and his team brought to our kitchen renovation.

**Comment from J.THOM Residential Design & Cabinetry:**

> Thank you Guys! We had a great time working on this project and love that we it transformed the space and your lives. Until the next project.....cheers!

> My wife and I worked with Michael on a complete rebuild of our kitchen and a partial renovation of our master bathroom. We loved every step of the process working with Michael to bring our vision to life on these projects. During our brainstorming sessions he listened carefully to each of our preferences and ideas and responded with suggestions that perfectly melded our approaches. In selecting layouts and materials he offered the perfect amount of choice, providing a range of suggestions that reflected our preferences and didn't overwhelm us. Michael's designs allowed us to get the absolute most out of our small spaces and created a beautiful living space for us while helping us stay within our project budget. He came up with creative ways to maximize space and convenience based on our priorities and lifestyle, and always stayed true to our vision. We absolutely love the designs he came up with for our house and all of the materials he found for us. Michael also expertly oversaw the renovation process and made it as easy as possible for us. He worked tirelessly to ensure every aspect of the project was done correctly and with attention to detail. We could not have loved our experience working with Michael any more, and we could not be happier with the final result.

> J.THOM successfully guided us in selecting our dream kitchen. Jason listened to our requirements and came up with solutions that would meet our needs as both a family and entertainers. He designed ways for us to hide sippy cups, store wine and display our cherished items. He helped us imagine a clutter-free kitchen that would function more efficiently and even improve our cooking experiences. From appliances, to cabinets, to backsplash, our kitchen came together just as we hoped. Jason always made sure our selections would result in a cohesive, well styled product and was genuinely invested in creating something beautiful. We look forward to working with J.THOM in the future!

> Dom, we absolutely loved collaborating with you on this project and can't wait see it in action. Best, J.THOM

> A neighbor referred us to J.THOM for assistance with our kitchen and master bath renovations. This was a first for us and Michael was extremely helpful with design which met our objectives in both rooms. The recommendation for a contractor was a huge plus, especially during a pandemic. Michael was very patient during selection of countertops, fixtures, lighting, tiles, flooring etc as we weren’t quite sure what we wanted but did know what we didn’t like. We couldn’t be more pleased with the final product. Thank you Michael & Matt

> J Thom provides exceptional service ! As a busy professional couple we truly value the efficiency of the streamlined process - from imaginative personalized design, thru sourcing of high quality custom cabinetry/countertop/fixtures/lighting, and collaboration w professional contractors. Jason's architectural background provides a vision for what the functionality of living space can be beyond that of a typical kitchen designer. He recommended several structural changes that were truly transformative in our first floor remodel yet stayed true to the 1920's classic design. He remains actively engaged throughout the entire process. We could not be happier w J. Thom. Our only regret is that we didn't start the process 5 years sooner!

> Jason and his staff designed our dream kitchen in our condo unit in 2018 (and revamped our master bathroom). They turned a small, dark space into a gorgeous and well-loved and -used kitchen with acres of storage space and a hidden laundry space, to boot. Now they’re completely redoing our guest bathroom and turning our blah second floor into a library/office. And adding built in storage to our living room. We wouldn’t have anyone else do our designs!

> My husband and I hired J. Thom last spring to help us design our new kitchen. We were originally going to do an IKEA kitchen, but after our first visit and consultation at the J. Thom showroom we were sold on the quality of products that they use, their expertise in planning, design and insight for product sourcing. Not only did they take all of our needs into consideration with the design and build of our kitchen, but they saw the project through to completion. Which was appreciated when issues arose. They quickly problem solved and at the end we have a kitchen that’s better than what we expected and enjoy being in everyday.

> Jason Thompson helped us design our kitchen for a total house renovation we completed in late 2019, and we couldn’t be happier with how the kitchen turned out. The house is a late 19th century Philadelphia brownstone, and I wanted to have a more modern kitchen, while my husband has more traditional tastes. Jason was amazing at creating a kitchen that blended our interests perfectly and seamlessly fits the character of the house. Jason had an excellent process for determining our interests and listened to us carefully. He understands the big picture of the project very well, and knows how to create a space that is beautiful and functional at the same time. He has a keen eye for detail, is great with color schemes and helped us work through overall design as well as the finer details.
> Jason is also a great problem solver, and helped us to seamlessly and cost-effectively resolve issues that arose in the field during construction. We were so pleased with his work we wished we had used his expertise for our bathrooms and quite possibly the entire house. In fact, we just reached out to him to help us remedy certain elements of our master bathroom that would not have come up had he been in our corner when we designed it.
>
> We highly recommend J. Thom and would unquestionable use Jason for a house project again. We trust his skills, professional acumen, integrity and great taste to create beautiful and functional spaces that meet clients’ visions and desires.

**Comment from J.THOM Residential Design & Cabinetry:**

> Lorella, we really enjoyed working with you and Trevor and tailoring the design to fit a big family who cooks often. We look forward to continuing our design collaboration!

**★★★★★ — Vicki Holcombe, Aug. 2019**

> As we set out on a gut renovation of our new home, we completely rearranged the layout, which included moving our kitchen to the opposite side to take advantage of water views. The footprint of the new kitchen area presented several challenges. Enter J.THOM. In our first design meeting, they presented three layouts, all of which solved the problems we were facing with the space. After deciding on a layout, we then worked on all of the details -- this was the fun part. J.THOM always came up with selections that fit our needs and aesthetics. We could not be happier with our new kitchen. The quality of the cabinetry is wonderful and worth every penny. The colors, textures, and functionality of the entire space make it a joy to be in. Thank you, J.THOM!

**★★★★★ — Estelle Markel-Joyet, Jan. 2019**

> We hired Jason and his team to completely re-think our South Philly kitchen. We started with a cookie cutter, barely useable kitchen. We ended up with a really unique space that flows from the front door to the back deck. We still marvel at how well Jason listened to our needs during the planning phases. This space is ours and reflects our style. Thank you, J.Thom!

**Comment from J.THOM Residential Design & Cabinetry:**

> Estelle, we absolutely loved working with you and Matthew. I can't wait to smell those meals coming out of your new chef's kitchen. Thank you!

**★★★★★ — Margaret Ullman, Dec. 2018**

> In 2017 we engaged J.Thom to redesign our kitchen. We were so pleased with the result that in 2018 we asked them to redesign the master bath, closet and storage area.
>
> This project included a complete tear out! It too was completed on time! The closet space was changed for maximum storage! The entire area is beautiful and the bath is spectacular! J.Thom designers listen to you. They take copious notes, prepare several plans for your review and are thorough in their attention to detail. Their design reflects your wishes, you cost concerns, and the over all style of your home. In the past we have built a home and renovated two previous residences. This company is most professional of all.

  - Description: Some clients bring inspiration photos. Others arrive with a spreadsheet. These clients arrived with one simple directive: "Color. Lots of color." Their newly purchased home came with a kitchen that felt too modern and impersonal for their lifestyle. They wanted something different. They wanted a space that brought a smile to their faces every time they walked into it. What followed was a curated kaleidoscope of colors, materials, and finishes layered together to create a kitchen that feels vibra…

  - Description: This Fitler Square townhome was built in the 1980s by a local architect. It had great bones but was in need of an upgrade. Our clients wanted to follow the modern architecture of the home and decided on our European cabinetry by Mobalco. One of the primary design goals was to create both continuity and distinction between the kitchen, dining, and living spaces – which all occupy the second (main) floor of the home. We also focused on creating beautiful storage solutions as our clients have two y…

  - Description: The style is a layered blend, rooted in the farmhouse tradition yet shaped by an eclectic eye. Shaker cabinetry, humble in make and quietly beautiful, serves as a backdrop, its simplicity elevated by deep finishes, natural soapstone counters, and rustic checkered marble flooring. These materials feel worn-in, storied, and timeless. Vintage modern notes play against that textured past. Matte white walls and gallery-like light create openness, while traditional baseboards, paneled doors, and antiq…

Our goal was to direct the client how to best position the kitchen into an open floor plan without overwhelming the adjacent spaces. The small and unimportant entry to the kitchen created a bottleneck of circulation between rooms. Shortly before we started designing this kitchen, the owners saw a royal blue Ilve range and decided that it would be the centerpiece of their new kitchen-to-be. We stepped out of the box by coupling the range with dusty-green cabinetry which lends a presence without stealing the show. Handmade hex quarry tiles on the floor provide a rich base and the white marble countertops contrast with the deeper surrounding tones. While not lar…

  - Description: Despite having ample room in their new Philadelphia townhome, our clients humbly resisted the urge to tear down walls and build a massive modern kitchen. Instead, they listened to the home and decided to thoughtfully renovate their small rear kitchen in order to make it look and function better for their growing family. We were able to maintain several original details, including the exposed brick wall and woodwork which leads to the adjacent dining space, while providing the entire space with a…

  - Description: As empty nesters, our clients didn’t need a ton of room in their kitchen, but they needed it to function really well. We presented a number of different potential layouts and ultimately we decided that a galley-like layout with the sink facing the eating area made the most sense for the way they envisioned using the space. With our European cabinetry offering by Mobalco, we designed a calming and sophisticated palette and created tons of smart storage. We added an appliance garage which also kep…

  - Description: The new owners of a huge Mt. Airy estate were looking to renovate the kitchen in their perfectly preserved and maintained home. We gutted the 1990's kitchen and adjoining breakfast room (except for a custom-built hutch) and set about to create a new kitchen made to look as if it was a mixture of original pieces from when the mansion was built combined with elements added over the intervening years. I know it’s a long shot, but do you happen to know the floor stain you used on yours hardwoods? It’s a wonderful tone! Thank you!

A: Sorry, we don't recall it being a specific color but more of a mix to match existing floors.

**Q: any luck on the sink?** *(in Photo Questions)*

We’re trying to replicate this bathroom almost to a ‘T’! Struggling mightily to find the sink. Searches have been unsuccessful so far. Any chance there’s a label or something underneath that could identify it? Thank you!

A: The sink is a Muhlen wall-mount sink that is 14.5" x 9.25" with a left or right faucet hole. Not sure if it is still available.

**Q: Beautiful use of space. what color did you use for trim?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the trim color please?

A: Thanks Julie. It's more then likely Simply White by Ben Moore which is perfect for trim, ceilings with a touch of warmth.

Can you share details about the counter top on island?

A: Would love to but it's been a good while since we completed this project. I do recall it being a Caesarstone product. Hope this helps, cheers.
