> We absolutely love our new living and dining rooms. We spend so much quality time in those two special areas. We're so glad we did those renovations and couldn't have done it without Holley's counsel. Holley was amazing to work with and took us through every step, from lighting to paint color to selecting furniture. She not only listened to our goals and wishes but offered her years of expertise to make our house our home, Many thanks Holley.

> Holley Pokora is such a pleasure to work with. She is professional, courteous, a superb communicator, and an incredibly talented designer. We thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Holley and look forward to working with her again in the future. Holley Pokora Interior Design comes with our highest recommendations for anyone in need of a knowledgeable and creative interior designer.

**Comment from Holley Pokora Interior Design:**

> Thank You Vita for your kind words! Having my client's projects come together beautifully requires a village of talented people behind the scenes - one of which is you and your firm, Vitalia, Inc.

**★★★★★ — Andrea Meinhart, April 2020**

> I have worked with Holley for many years now ..she has exquisite taste and is very easy to work with.

**★★★★★ — Linda McManus Images, April 2020**

> I met Holley through a networking group and was delighted when she asked me to photograph her kitchen, which she designed. Her style is classic but on trend. As a photogrpaher, I enjoy not only capturing the overall space, but also many vignettes. With the perfect selection of herbs, vegetables and kitchen accoutrements, Holley’s styling was perfect. I look forward to capturing more of Holley’s work and would recommend her highly to anyone who needs a new, fresh look for their home.

**★★★★★ — User, April 2020**

> Holley is a very talented designer and a pleasure to work with! We have worked on many projects together and she is always personable and professional.

**★★★★★ — Marjorie Dowds, April 2020**

> I hired Holley to help me work through the process of building a home at the beach. I had her involved from the very beginning. She helped me review the plans - as she taught me, an architect designs a house from the outside, a designer looks at how you will live on the inside. We verified room layouts, window placements, outlets, everything, Her expertise was also invaluable during this process because she kept me ahead of the builders schedule. They never had to wait for a decision to be made. Picking tile doesn't sound like it should be such a tough experience but it involves floor tile, shower wall tiles, shower floor tiles. A bit overwhelming but I never would have thought about how each tile should be laid. She had ideas for patterns for each bathroom that ended up looking amazing, Add to that you have to tie it all in with cabinets and countertops! She had it all coordinated and made it all seem easy. As we met with each supplier they pulled me aside and told me that they never worked with a designer like that before. Open to everyone's ideas and able to smooth over any issues with my position her number one objective! When the house was done she had the furniture and rugs timed to be delivered the day we closed. It was an amazing process. I would not have been able to have done this without her

**★★★★★ — Diana and Sal Pantano, Jan. 2018**

> Holley was very easy to work with. She listened to our needs and thoughts. Based on our wishes, she thought of wonderful decorating ideas, color schemes and furniture layouts. She has a very good eye for the placement of art. If we did not like a suggestion, Holley considered our opinions and made adjustments to the design. Also, Holley recommended framers and online stores to meet our needs. Her personality was always pleasant. She is very upbeat and energetic.

**★★★★★ — Meghan Maciolek, April 2017**

> Holley is the consummate professional. She takes the time to listen to her client's thoughts, advise on her recommended approach and then marry the two, yielding a result that is nothing short of perfection. The quality of the associates she recommended to support our design project made the entire process seamless. I am beyond thrilled with the outcome and I would recommend Holley to anyone who is seeking to give their home a fresh look - I already know I will be asking for her support again soon!

**Comment from Holley Pokora Interior Design:**

> Thank you Meghan. It was a pleasure helping your realize your own vision!

**★★★★★ — Julian Hauck, Jan. 2017**

> Holly from Idea Design was recommended to us by our realtor to stage our home and help to optimize the photos for marketing our home to sell on the internet.
> From the initial staging consultation throughout the completion of the project we found Holly to be very experienced and knowledgeable with space planning, design and decorating ideas. She was a pleasure to work with and we plan on using her again when we purchase our next home.

**★★★★ — tanathomas, March 2016**

> Holley has helped us with several room remodels and redesigns. I have found her helpful and most importantly she listens to who I am, how my family lives and what kinds of things I like. With that knowledge, she helps me find a way to express myself in my home design, stretch my limits to create space that's trendy yet practical.
> Holley helped us with our Spanish trattoria style basement, which is rich in culture and style. She has helped us pick wall colors. She helped us change a child playroom into a teen space with work areas, games and plenty of seating for teens. She is well rounded in her style and works within the comfort level of her customers.

**★★★★★ — pagegilmo, March 2016**

> Holley helped me design and decorate a 2500 sq ft addition to our home.
> We focused on lighting, window treatments, layouts and kitchen design.
> The kitchen being the biggest job/design.

**Comment from Holley Pokora Interior Design:**

> Thank you! It was fun helping you narrow your design choices and achieve your family's goals.

**★★★★★ — joymac110, Sept. 2015**

> I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Holley Pokora, of Idea Design Homes, on two major home projects. A completely renovated kitchen and bathroom. Both projects met my timeline and fiscal expectations. From start to finish Holley's artistic flare and committed professional expertise were right on target. It is clear her experience and knowledge of her craft puts her above the rest. She brings her awesome sense of humor and all around good nature to the table and easily negotiates even the smallest of details. Holley is dependable, reliable and consistent. She listens, gives fantastic feed-back and advise. She is well versed on what will, and will not, work ! I look forward to creating yet another project and having Holley by my side and on my team ! Joy MacCarty

**★★★★★ — jan\_nissen69, Aug. 2015**

> I have worked with Holley on a couple of projects in my home. I have found that she has a unbelievable creative eye for color and design. As an example, when I asked her about ideas for window treatments in my two story family room, she literally drew up the design on the spot! We went with that design idea because it worked perfectly. Holley saved me a great deal of time by going through numerous fabric books and selecting a few "finalists" for my review. She identified a very capable installer, and was there to inspect their work and ensure that the installation was done properly and to my satisfaction. She is my "go-to" designer!

**★★★★★ — Bob Dick, Aug. 2015**

> Holley was thoughtful, has phenomenal vision and worked with the existing styles within my residence to a tee. We created a master plan for the residence that was achievable and did not require a complete gut. Holley's passion and insight was very helpful in creating consensus on the family and achieved a look and feel we would never have been able to achieve without her talent. We recommend her without reservation.

**★★★★★ — carter2007, March 2014**

> Holly Pokora from Idea Design LLC is very professional and has become such an assist to my Real Estate Career. She provides staging consultations for all my clients who are going to sell their home. My clients are extremely pleased with her knowledge and take all her suggestions into account prior to listing their home with me. The clients who use Holly, always sell their homes quicker! She also has worked with some clients who needed staging while their home was being sold and it was vacant. Holly is thoughtful, professional, talented and I'm so glad to offer her services to my clients!

**★★★★★ — Suzy Cleveland Dowell, March 2014**

> Holley helped us stage our home for sale and we had two offers within four days of listing! I liked her so much I have hired her to help me with our new home. She is so flexible, she will design the whole room, help with color concepts, or help come up with space plans. She has gone with me to shop for furniture and lighting! She has a wonderful eye and doesn't take over, she helps you enhance your own taste and ideas.

**★★★★★ — stef814, July 2012**

  - Description: This client purchased a mid century rancher and underwent a huge renovation, adding a second floor and turning the home into a Cape Cod. The former kitchen had a 80's vibe with pickled oak cabinets and and angled peninsula. We worked with Sterling Kitchens to give this kitchen a sexy makeover! Since there was abundant light coming in from the Pella casement windows in the attached family room, we decided to use black walnut cabinets to add richness and drama to the space. ## Community Q&A

**Q: What is this wallpaper please?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: This is a wallpaper from Thibaut

**Q: rug source please** *(in Photo Questions)*

large abstract floral rug in great room is fantastic.
please share brand, design and source.

A: Glad you like the rug! I believe it was a rug from Surya.com. You can check on their website for it.

**Q: Zermatt Quartzite should I go with it?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Ok people, i’m still on the hunt for a countertop... you all have been amazing so far in this process. I found this one today and looks-wise it is a strong contender. I did a scratch test and the Zermatt scratched a glass. Then I left vinegar on it for 4 hours and no etching. It did leave a stain mark that eventually dried/evaporated after 1 hour, but not sure if it is a sealed sample (probably not). So I’m good, right?! I am currently testing with an overnight of vinegar (again), ketchup, and strawberry.

another question though is the green dots on the slab. They are not all over, but in the middle, but with cutting, might be avoidable or put in inconspicuous areas, or the edge of areas. Would these bother you? I know it is a natural stone with variations, but I’ve not seen these “dots” on this type of Zermatt anywhere else. They almost looks unnatural, but I felt them and they are not raised. Thanks!!!!

A: Make sure you do a layout with the fabricator so you see where those dots are and can avoid them being front and center right next to your sink or something if they bother you.
Love quartzite! I just put Luna in my own kitchen last year and do love the natural veining and piece of nature in my kitchen versus quartz - the man-made product.

**Q: What Should I Do With This Range Hood Cover?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My kitchen has a built up drywall structure covering my range hood. My countertops are going to be Silestone Blanco Maple.I am using an artistic glass tile as the backsplash and am thinking of doing some type of metal covering the bottom portion of the hood cover that had previously been tiled. See photos for before, now and samples of backsplash and countertop. Welcome any ideas for that area or suggestions of people in the DFW metroplex that can fabricate something for it.

Thanks!

BEFORE

NOW

BACKSPLASH

COUNTERTOP

A: I probably would have pulled it out and hung a new stainless steel hood with exposed flu up to the ceiling. it would feel less heavy and afterall its just made of drywall, not real precious to keep designing the room around. It would coordinate with the silvery color of the backsplash.

**Q: Looking for an outdoor rug for my patio.** *(in Home Decorating)*

Hi everyone, I am looking for an outdoor rug to put under my patio furniture, I am just not sure if i should be looking for a round or rectangular rug and color. Please see photos attached.

Ever since this picture, we have installed a pergola that covers the whole patio, please see photos below, we are still in the process of painting the wood pergola. We will be painting the wood fence too.

A: round table, round rug - if you can find the right size. it should include the footprint of the chairs easily sitting within the rug.

**Q: What are the counter tops made of?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What are the counter tops?

A: Who is the supplier of these cabinets? Very cool!
