Not sure if I should get a sectional to please my hubby or go with a 2 piece sofa A: The sectional is a great idea; however, I would keep it neat with clean lines and arms. Otherwise it might overwhelm the space if you select rolled arms and back pillow cushions. **Q: All-In-One Window/Door Trim!** *(in Design Dilemma)* I added a keeping/sunroom to my kitchen. My first and primary dilemma is trouble on how to hang window treatments given the “all-in-one” trim design around window and door frame. I’m thinking that if I hang chevron patterned curtains near ceiling above the trim (leaving door uncovered) it may look weird? OR do I use three panels and treat the door like a window with the third panel in the corner (to right of the door but may look unbalanced)? OR do I use a valence? OR none of the above? Note: I currently have wood blinds inside mounted to windows and outside mounted to the door, but I’m not opposed to changing. Second dilemma is how should I arrange furniture in this small space? I currently have option of placing a TV on wall or in corner… but how should furniture be arranged? I’m thinking an apartment size sofa facing the wall but what do I put near the window? Perhaps a chair in the corner or two small chairs in front of window? Or perhaps a bench? A: I would also add the blinds and forget about the curtains. If you are interested in bringing in the chevron patter. I would do an accent wall either painting a chevron pattern. Frog tape has a chevron style tape, that works wonderfully. There are also several wonderful wallpapers sold at target in a chevron style pattern that you could use as well. **Q: Dining Room help -- paint and wall decor needed?** *(in Design Dilemma)* I need design help! I want my dining room to look "finished" -- should I paint the walls? If so, should I paint just the top, above the wainscoting? Color advice? Also, what would you add to the walls and where? Thanks for any advice!! A: Beautiful Job! Painting above the wainscoting is a great idea, perhaps something in a "greige" which will marry the beige and steel tones in the room. Benjamin Moore has some great "greige" tones, like Revere Pewter. **Q: A THORN IN MY SIDE!!! Need help with arrangment.** *(in Design Dilemma)* OK, I would love to rearrange my living room. What do you think of this?? Could I put the larger sofa where the love seat is and the love seat where the TV is...Form an L. (eventually get a sectional if I like the arrangement) Put the TV between the windows (of course need a new stand). Use the current TV stand as a hutch on the wall behind where the large sofa is now. Need Ideas and advice. Would like some curtains too, but don't know where to go with all this?? Anyone want to volunteer some ideas?? I would really appreciate any help. I would even be up for a total makeover, paint and all!!! This living room has been a thorn in my side for 3 years!!! HELP!!! A: The sofa should be on the longest wall in the room. However, if you wish otto float in the room, perhaps add a sofa table to the back and consider moving the love seat to the opposite wall.
