Shinda is the owner of Olympic Rockeries & Const. And has been providing service for well over 20 years in the Greater Seattle, Eastside, and Surrounding Areas. He started out by working side by side with his father as a young boy. Gaining a creative knowledge first-hand, he was inspired to open his own business, which he successfully did in 2004. 

Today, Olympic Rockeries' goal is to provide exceptional results, whether it is a rockery, retaining wall, excavation, hardscaping or any other service we provide. Our focus is mainly geared towards the residential market and we love working with homeowners!  

Along the way we will ensure incomparable service to satisfy customers' needs. Our dependability and professionalism that we conduct throughout our work day to day, keeps our customers coming back. > Our experience with Olympic Rockery has been consistently superb. We first ordered a bunch of rock bubblers and bird baths and were treated so well and the delivery and installation were flawless. Shinda was great to work with. I didn't like the initial placement of some of the bird baths (mind you these are about a quarter ton each) and he graciously moved them for me.
> Our experience was so good that we decided to have them build a 150 foot long, 4 foot high rock wall for us, a major undertaking, and we couldn't be happier. Shinda is very professional and patient and listens to our input and has provided a product better than I was expecting.

> This was a complex project involving detailed conditions and instructions from city, county and state agencies. The drain was also laid in a very narrow 5 foot side-yard, plus we live on a lake which makes everything more complex. Finally the access to our house is a narrow one-lane shared driveway. This project could easily have turned into a huge nightmare.

> Olympic Rockeries did an exceptional job. The trench was excavated in this tight space with no collateral damage. Several unexpected occurrences such as a couple of large boulders and subterranean silt leakage were handled promptly and capably. The coring of the bulkhead was done with precision and no damage to the structure. The pipe was laid, connected up and everything was restored to perfect original condition. The various agencies and inspectors were all happy with the work, and everything was done in a timely fashion, within the course of a few days (once the work started), with no delays. Despite movement and stationing of heavy equipment down a narrow shared driveway the neighbors were not inconvenienced. I would highly recommend Olympic Rockeries.

> Since this project was fairly straightforward, we were able to obtain estimates via photos and measurements. From the start we were very pleased with Shinda's responsiveness and clear communication, which was our top priority. We've never contracted a job of this scope, but the cost was less than expected, and we got a lot for our money. Once the crew kicked into gear, the project went fast and the crew's rock-setting skills were truly amazing. They also took care to protect our driveway and clean up and rough grade the site. As we had been advised, the lawn in the work area was wiped out, which was not a problem as we were planning to replace it. Our new rock wall is magnificent and a substantial upgrade to our property. Highly recommended.

> On a scale of 1-10 we would give Olympic Rockeries a 10 - the best of anyone
> in all the work we've either had done or had help with on our 100 year old home and yard. They removed a large,  old cement swimming pool (gunnite pool with tons of rebar) addressed a water drainage problem and created a great yard from a hole in the ground!  We are very pleased with the quality of their work as well as their personable and professional manner.  In addition, they carried out the work safely and in accordance with environmental regulations.  The work was done quickly and efficiently, and they were flexible as much as possible in meeting our schedules and timeline and in our request to complete some of the work ourselves to save $.  Their price for the work was reasonable and competitive with other landscaping/hardscaping firms. Shinda set an example for his work crews in working hard and providing them with the direction they needed in this complex project.  They even installed some large rocks to pull the aesthetic design of the yard together and didn't charge us for them! In addition to Shinda, we'd like to thank the members of his crews that worked with us: Benjamin, Randy, Norm, Josh, and Carpino.  They did their best and that shows in what they were able to accomplish. Finally, they were considerate of the neighbors in working quietly, with minimum dust and disruption, and were careful to not interfere with our neighbors' parking or blocking driveways or alley access. I would recommend Olympic Rockeries to anyone with landscaping needs in the full range of pool demolition, site preparation and hardscaping.     Brook and Sharon
