Will the adhesive damage the flooring underneath? A: It very much depends on the type of adhesive used, as well as what type of flooring you have. A solid wood floor can ultimately be sanded if there is an issue. There is another consideration however. Often these types of adhesive backed tiles need a completely flat surface to adhere to look their best, a wood floor likely is not completely flat and level, especially if it is at all worn.
