I had Chris from Ideal Landscape come over to take a look at the job. We discussed what I had in mind and the materials I wanted to use. Chris showed me numerous pictures of similar jobs Ideal had done in the past and suggested some great ideas for the new wall and steps. Within a few days of our meeting I had received their proposal and drawings for what the new wall and steps would look like. Ideal was clearly better than the other contractors I had met with so I selected them for the job. Getting the job done was easy and painless for me. They ripped out the old wall and steps and installed the new ones without inconveniencing me at all. I had quite a laundry list of things to be done, including stump and tree removal, flower bed prep in two areas, under deck excavation with weed block and stone installed, and a light post installed with a conduit line for my electrician. He listened carefully to what I needed, made suggestions and within a few days came back with an itemized proposal that included everything I needed done. > The day the work was to begin he and his crew arrived on time with all the necessary equipment, and after introductions they got right to work. And what impressive work it was. Perfectly defined flowerbeds ready for spring bulbs and future plants, and the area under the deck is now beautifully graded and covered with good looking brown stone. He even reminded me to print out my coupon from Angie's list for a pretty decent discount - something I was unaware of. I consider this to be pretty impressive honesty. > > We had some issue with the electrician we hired to run the conduit after Chris and his team did the work, ( miscommunication where the electrician did not want to do any digging...) Chris came BACK, opened the trench back up and adjusted the conduit so the electrician did not have to dig anything at all. After the electrician was finished his team then returned right away to cover the trench back over. In this photo we had just activated the polymeric sand so the surface is wet with makes the color look richer. When dry, color is more muted. Pavers can be sealed to give them this richer looking color. **Q: what color Brussels blocks did you use?** *(in Photo Questions)* Thanks! A: Hello, The color of the paver is 'Sierra' with outside banding in the 'Granite' color. Hope that helps. Chris **Q: What's the model and color?** *(in Photo Questions)* What's the model and color A: The manufacturer is Unilock. The paver is Thornbury and the color is New York Blend. This is a permeable application. The Thornbury paver can do both ICP and PICP installations. **Q: Border** *(in Photo Questions)* What paver stone is used for the border? A: There is actually a step down in the patio so the tread of the elevation change is a bullnose coping in the 'Granite' color and the rest of the boarder is the Unilock 6" x 6" Antara paver in the 'Granite' color as well. **Q: What color is this Beacon Hill? Thanks!** *(in Photo Questions)* A: This color is 'Sierra'. It's lighter then in the picture when dry. This color in the photo is darker because we had just wet the surface to activate the polymeric sand in the joints. Unilock does have a new color called 'Sycamore' if your looking for a darker color. **Q: will you please tell me the color of the flagstone pavers?
