He consented to provide a plan in 2-3 weeks, but there was delay after delay. He missed promised deadlines, but still said he was interested in working on our plan. I checked in with him periodically but after 4-5 months of waiting for an initial drawing, Matt left a voicemail on our home phone saying he was pulling out of the the project. He offered to make the our land survey and house measurements available, so they could be passed on to another architect. We later saw his promotional signs posted prominently at a new commercial site under construction in Richboro, where he is now under contract designing a new shopping plaza...so, it appears he chose a commercial project over us, but left us dangling for a long time. I would have preferred being told much sooner he was too busy and had to pass. To say the least, it was a disappointing experience to have this professional architect treat us and our project with so much indifference. If a friend asked me about hiring him, I would say, "don't do it. He wasted our time. Steer clear of this guy. " **★★★★★ — ruelvis, Nov. 2014** > A wonderfully positive experience! We've heard so many scary things about the building process so we made sure to interview quite a few architects before hiring one. Fortunately, Matt was one of the ones we interviewed. He didn't give us a hassle about coming out to our house and gladly worked with our busy schedule. We didn't feel like we were inconveniencing him. While others seemed to say whatever they thought we wanted to hear in order to get the job & seemed hesitant to share any info or advice until we signed on the dotted line, Matt didn't hesitate to give us the real scoop right away. We discussed the limits of our lot, what would or would not require local zoning variances and why some of the things we wanted to do would be difficult or very costly. But he didn't stop there - we discussed some alternative approaches with him that none of the other architects seemed to consider. It was not only exciting, but incredibly clear from the get-go that Matt is a straight shooter with a wealth of experience, ideas and a genuine concern for the success of our project. And without the nauseating ego that some of the other architects we had met with. > So Matt & his staff nailed almost everything in the initial design with all kinds of drawings - plans, elevations and sections to help us visualize what the critical spaces would be like. We discussed things, made some decisions so he could made the necessary tweaks. It wasn't long before his office developed a "Pricing Set" to give some local contractors for preliminary pricing. We're so glad he offered that service in his base fee! > A couple tweaks later and Matt's office developed drawings with more detail as required to acquire the building permits and go out to bid. During construction Matt was always responsive to our calls and talked to our contractor or came out to the site when necessary. > There were a couple times when Matt wasn't in the office or on the other line when we called, but his staff was incredibly helpful in answering questions and explaining things to us. > It really was a positive experience which is why we always recommend Matt when we hear people are considering a construction project. **★★★★★ — laurakpierce, July 2013** > Awesome experience!
